The Lions are headed in the right direction, I could see them winning their division this year.

2021,the entire team were garbage.2020 were on Ben,2017 vs Jags, some players were more focused on the pats than the jags and it's on Tomlin...The defense gave at least 31 points against a team that had scored only 10 points in each of the 2 week before and the jags had a loaded defense , especially against the pass so I can't put that on Ben.Haley also had some very questionable decision in key situation too

2014 and 2015 the steelers had injuries at some key player in offense and they had no good replacement in some occasion like 2014 vs ravens at the RB position but i'm not sure it would have made a difference since the ravens only had 2 drives in offense without scoring in this game.2014 is still the worst steelers defense since 1988.2016, the pats scored on every drive except one in the first quarter and the steelers had nothing at the WR and TE position after AB...If I remember correctly, the receivers had several drops in that game.2011 vs Denver, it's on Tomlin...I mean Tebow had 316 passing yards on 21 pass attempts:facepalm:.... If we talk about the 3 worst playoff losses since 2011 (2011,2017 and 2020), I put 2020 on Ben and 2011 and 2017 more on Tomlin and the defense

I know what happened in those playoff losses I watched them all, Ben was better in the playoffs in the first half of his career.

Do you mean during the time when Ben had a real HC and was playing with a real HC's left over players and DC/OC?

Yes, I agree with you. With Cowher's team and Arians/Lebeau, Ben played a ton better than when Tomlin finally got to put his own stamp on the team.

    Hell yes
Trade all our draft picks for a good one.
We don't need anymore players, we're loaded after this years draft and FA.

How is 2011 on Tomlin and not “one of the greatest defensive coordinators ever”?

How is it not on Ben for getting outplayed by Tebow?

This is not Ben who gave up 316 passing yards on 21 pass attempts to one of the worst passer in NFL history

But it was the guy you co-signed as “one of the best defensive coordinators ever”……yet you blame Tomlin instead of him. Why?

I know Ben didn’t give up the yards to Tebow, Lebeau’s defense did. My next question was, why did Ben get outplayed by Tebow? Why don’t you blame hall of fame Ben for not at least matching Tebow in that game?

Tomlin’s overrated. He’s ok as a coach, good motivational speaker, players seem to really like playing for him. But there’s the poor playoff record despite having the talent the last 10 years and the team has seemed unprepared too many times. I hope they don’t extend him till we see how the team does this season

LeBeau was a great DC for most of his career but this is not me who said that...Tomlin is the head coach, so of course he has a responsibility for this disaster in this playoff game...LeBeau also has a responsibility for this awful game plan, but when you are the head coach, you are supposed to be in control for the game plans...And for Ben,remember he had a ankle sprain that affected him big time

You co-signed it with your “agree”. It’s like you did say it.

This is how the Tomlin hate goes….downplay his role in the team’s success under his watch while overstating his role in the disappointments.

Lebeau ultimately gets credit for those defenses that lead the team but Tomlin is ultimately the one to blame when they had let downs. Ben touted as a reason that Tomlin should be criticized for not leading the team to more playoff success, but when you pin point Ben’s personal underachievement in the playoffs it’s excuses.

“He had had an ankle sprain remember?”

Look, Tomlin is a good coach and he's done some good things, but I was just talking about 3 of our worst playoff losses and I blamed that on Ben in 2020 but more on Tomlin in 2011 and 2017...I'm not saying that Tomlin deserves 100% of the blame for his losses, but he has a responsibility for it

For several years, we have not been successful in the playoffs and that must change soon....Do I think Tomlin can change that?...Absolutely and it is possible and in general I can not put that on Tomlin for the lack of playoff win for the last 4 years (since 2019) since the team was below average in general and yes he deserves credit for not having a losing season during his years....Tomlin is better with the underdog that when the steelers were among the favorite or when the steelers are huge favorite in a game.

And in general I accept the fact that Tomlin is going to be the head coach as long as he wants, so he should have an extension before the training camp

I was just asking why you said the playoff loss to that tebow-broncos was on Tomlin when you had just co-signed another person touting Lebeau’s greatness as a defensive coordinator.

I think we all want more playoff success.

I'm a Tomlin fan as You can see in everything I post about Him, but players have said Tomlin was changing Lebeau defense by then, and taking away play calling from Him at times. As far as casting any blame.....You can't name one HC, Qb, DC, and OC in the History of the NFL that You can't lay some blame on for different playoff losses. I Laugh when people say oh the HOF this , or that...how come He didn't help. Name Me one HOF Coach ,or player that hasn't $hit the bed in the playoffs before.....hell even more than once??? How come HOF Brady didn't out play M. Sanchez in the playoffs???? See!!!
Just because You lost a playoff game doesn't make You not a HOF player, or coach, or there wouldn't be any HOF players, or coaches.....ever....because they have all lost playoff games.

Never heard that about Tomlin supposedly changing Lebeau’s defense or taking the play calling from him in those times. I’d have to see some proof on that because it doesn’t really make a lot of sense seeing as how the ‘11 season was the year following their last SB appearance that featured the legendary ’10 defense. They had the best defense in the league in ‘08 winning the SB. They fell off outside of the top 10 in defense in ‘09 but was right back at the top in ‘10 with a defense that some believe is the best Steelers defense outside of the steel curtain. They even had the best defense(statistically) in ‘11. I remember Lebeau being the man with everyone’s confidence at that point.

I never said that Tomlin is blameless for ‘11 or any of the disappointing years. I just wondered why dude would put that loss to Tebow mainly on Tomlin giving the other things that he/she was saying/cosigning.

You missed the point or chose to ignore it. It's fact that Ben played better with Cowher's team/coaches than Tomlin's team/coaches. Somehow, perhaps magically, Cowher's team/coaches made Ben play better in the playoffs.

They play that game in Pittsburgh, Clark plays and it's a rout! As it was they beat the crap out of Tebow and he limped into the Patriots with blowout loss!
