Mike Munchak

What is up with Munchak? He left the Steelers with a lame excuse to be close to his daughter and no explanation on why Denver let him go. I think he's been out of the league couple of years now. He was so great in getting our OL to be one of the best years ago. I think he can get our current OL back to that level again in both run blocking and pass blocking.

 

He was still cashing Denver Bronco paycheck from his couch as of last year. This year he as spotted in Pittsburgh at an O-Line clinic. At the end of last year, the O-Line started playing good down the stretch, so I don't think Matt Canada was interested in replacing Pat Meyer in 2023.

I have been lobbying for the Steelers to bring in Munch to fill the vacant Assistant Head Coach position all year long.

The Steelers will need to see what direction the new O.C. wants to go with the O-Line. I am hoping the Steelers bring in a former Head Coach as an OC, that will be bringing some of his staff with him to completely reshape this offense. I know that is not Tomlin's way to let someone else come in and takeover, but it is really what needs to happen.

 

On second thought just bring back the entire old gang. Hell, I think they are all currently unemployed.
