Another great heading to early retirement in Detroit.

    1st Sanders now Johnson.

Probably getting tired of all his touchdowns getting called non-catches.

Sad to see one of the best rude off into the sunset but I think it's a good decision for him. He has his money, health, and fame.

Man I wish we had a few pennies to throw his way to maybe have him play for a single year to try and get a trophy. Yet another great Lion that never had a shot to win it all. Dude was a beast though.

AS BFT said another great Lion that had NO CHANCE of winning a Superbowl. Retired in your thirties,
how many people can say that? Whats everbody's take on Matthew Stafford?

Stafford is nothing but a fantasy qb that puts up a bunch of garbage stats. Not elite in the slightest. Certainly not worth a big contract. Just my two cents on the guy.

That's too bad. I always hate when the greats retire

Jerry Rice said that he was just entering his prime at the same time that Megatron was deciding to retire. That seems a little bit of an egotistical comment to me.

Jerry Rice has earned the right to say anything he wants. When I see these early retirements,
I think that they never really loved the game of football. Just for the record, I loved Joe Montana
    but hated the Niners.

I think Matthew Stafford would be an option for the Steelers when Ben hangs them up,Depending on how
bad Stafford gets beat up these next three years would still be young enough to lead the Steelers. His arm strength is
phenominal. Can make all the throws.

Its sad to see him leave so early. Detroit can have that affect on people. I'm sure he'll get into the Hall based on reputation alone, but IMO based on his stats he doesn't deserve it.

Seems to be a trend that I am sad to see..

I`m not gonna hold his choice against him, tho..

    It`s his to make,

And he has damn sure earned his money, and the right to do what he wants.

As far as Stafford, I think he is under rated..
    Just my opinion...
