Why have we kept him mostly on the pine? I don't understand. Our run D is not been too good lately and Casey is done.He has been for a couple years.
a couple seasons back our run D was sucking. Hamp got hurt a few weeks into the season. Hokie came in and instantly the run D got better..
I appericate Hamp. But, i'd like to see Meclendon in there a lot more!

He will get his reps. Plus Hampton made a nice play in the backfield on Green-Ellis last night toward the end of the game.

That was the first Hampton sighting all year! I wonder why we've never had more of a rotation on our line..we have some older guys now as well as some younger guys that need the reps. Quite a few teams have a constant rotation. I know we do it a tiny bit. This team needs to get over it's issues with letting younger guys play..

Do you think the coaches play Hampton because they feel he is better than Mclendon or do you think they have no idea what they are doing and maybe you should run the team.
Do you think it's possible that Hamton is out performing him in practice and that along with experience is why Hampton is playing so much?
I want to know what Mclendon has done other than make a hand full of plays and had a good camp according to the coaches that would warrant him bumping big Snack?

I think Hampton is just starting to get over his leg injuries and the "cut" blocks they were using against him. Looks like he's getting that confidence back. That play in the backfield was against the 3rd (undersized) back-up center.

I'm thinking we could use McClendon as a sub for Hood to see how it works. With our old guys getting older and our young guys getting more experience I don't think it would hurt to spread the snaps evenly amongst Hood, Keisel, Hampton, McClendon and Heyward.

I think the coaches play Hampton because of his past! We have a track record of not letting younger guys play. DO you really think Hamp was in better shape to start after 8 months off knee surgery? We all know how he keeps himself in shape when he's healthy :? Came right off the PUP list into the starting job. With that knee healing and limited work do u think he out preformed Mclendon in practice? i doubt it...If even if Hamp is good to go why not rotate them? Mclendon gets reps Hamp is a little fresher late in the game...There is a chance this is Hamps last year. So, more of a rotation will help us this year and next!

that was also against a very undersized rookie center,a guy we tried to exploit all night and did. this one guy alone made our defense look alot better. we were sending everything up the middle, including keisel and harrison, who i've been begging for them to use him this way for a couple of years. anyway, casey making a play against this guy doesn't speak volumes.
mclendon should be seeing half the time at least.

i have been very leary over our success against the bungles. they are not very good. we have not shown we've turned the corner yet.

Agreed! There was a point early in that game where the Cincy O line was blowing us off the ball. One play they blew our guys 3-4 yards off the ball. If they would have stuck with that(similar to our O) we would have been in for a long night.Luckly for us they didnt...This week the Skins will stick with the run so i guess we'll see..
