Mean Joe could be referring to the Young Money Crew and their attitude. 50 million wasn't enough for Wallace and the Steelers probably overpaid for Brown we don't know if he's a #1 receiver yet. Brown is too careless with the ball cost the team 2 wins last season.

Regardless of Mean Joe Greene's implication or Mike Wallace's supposed diva behavior, I hope he has an outstanding season next year so it guarantees the Steelers receive the third round compensatory pick that everyone expects. GO STEELERS!

I don't think that is necessary. The two main factors in determining compensatory pick value are size of contract and playing time. Stats don't actually factor into it at all, although postseason honors (Pro Bowl, POY, etc) do.

I love Greene but he is from the old school. The money and fame that creates the divas of the modern NFL wasn't there in his day. What he speaks of is a problem for every team to an extent.

Who else thinks Jack and Strummer should just admit their feelings for each other and get it over with?

I would probably have to go through years of therapy first to get over my Oedipus complex.

I happen to like strummer. He's just wrong about everything that he disagrees with me about. ;)
Hey, he is smart enough to be a Steeler fan so he can't be all bad. I think I'll leave it at that!

HAHA .. Not me man. I am just here for the popcorn and good conversation. The rest of this stuff is just offseason rhetoric devised to keep us busy
during the oh so long off season lol

The offseason seems longer to me than the actual season. I wonder why?

He still has to go there at least once, and for some miracle that the Jets make the playoffs it could be 2x and for another miracle the Dolphins make the Super Bowl that would be 3x.
Cleveland, KC and Buffalo are probably in that category too!! Just saying

I hate the money given to brown.

Yet, I love the guys (what seems to be) work ethic. I don think he will let anything go more then the best. I honestly see him as a new Hines. But, the only prOblem is I'd we get help. Hines needed a better athlete.
I think the same is for brown.

Its not on shifty or speed it is on physical make up. Also, I love ye Wheaton pick cuz it could be him.

I can't say for certain if Wallace was A distraction or THE distraction. However, holding OTs, taining camp, preseason and then playing the way he did...all while the team was trying to learn a new system, surely (I know stop calling me Shirley), didn't help the team. At the same time, with all the jabbering these players did during the season I would have to assume that a few of them lost focus. I love hearing from the players. Often it is the only insight we get into the kind of player we have on the team, however, more often I wish they would shut up and just play the game. I'm not one to criticize players for seeking more money but I don't believe it should be all about the money either.

I agree with Joe and I don't think he was talking about Wallace alone.
