First, you have to have players that can execute and stay healthy. Our defense either wiff on a tackle or if they make the tackle...they end up hurt. We are so fragile. Our best defender is like 36 yrs old

    A 3-4 DE had similar size/strength requirements as 4-3 DT. Hargrave would be a perfect 1-tech ( 4-3 NT ) in today's NFL with his size/speed but he's a bit small and functionally weak for the zero-tech ( 3-4 NT ).

In my world I'd love to see us draft a true 4-3 DE. Dupree could play DE or OLB. Shazier with his speed would be a perfect 4-3 Wil ( weak side LB) and Moats/ JJ are SAM and that leaves Timmons/LJ/ Dirty Red as Mike.

In today's NFL flexibility and different looks are Key......

We're on the brink of Dominating!!!

I'm not sure I like him yet, was hoping for Lebeau like results. Does anyone else think Butler is handcuffed by Tomlin wanting more of a Tampa 2 look?

Agreed on the whole size comparison but I just don't like them playing there, I don't like what I see from the production side of it. I think before we draft a true 4-3 end we need to know what systen we are gonna run the most of. I do like flexibility especially with the system we are running now.....
