    YEAAAAAAAAAA:rolleyes:

He is the captain of the titanic after it hit the iceberg and the boat is listing halfway in the water. Hope he chooses cool music to play and rearranges the deck chairs as we all watch the ship go under. The Titanic slash SS Tomlin ship is sunk for good. We should have fired him after debacle depantsing he received in last AFC champ game. I was torched on here for saying it then and every year since. Where are all the Tomlin defenders now? crickets

Wow. Would we have ever envisioned this scenario at the beginning of the season?

This made me think of Bill Burr's schtick on this, "That's why we get paid the extra dollar an hour because we have to stay playing that cello while you get to go". :roflmao:

Watch the media machine gather the narrative to defend him, it's beginning in some circles already.

Mitch should be the 3rd team emergency QB and put McSorley as the backup. We've seen enough of Mitch in a Steeler uniform.

Hey, it's not unprecedented. Remember Mark Malone and Kordell Stewart?

Man I wish I had that optimism and could feel something like that but for three reasons, (1) our o line is like swiss cheese half the time so our QB's get very little time to go through progressions and (2) several of our players quit on the field or take plays off and lastly (3) we still have Canada's playbook. Those three items limit my expectations. Truly though, I hope you are right and will watch anyway as usual, hoping!!

To be honest with you guys, starting Mason actually puts a little wind in my sails. I was to the point that I really didn't care if the Steelers won another game this season...let's just rip the band-aid off and start making substantial changes in the off-season. But now...I've got something to root for. I love a comeback story and would like to see Mason go out there and ball out! But, alas, I'm quite sure that as Saturday comes to a close, I will once again be utterly disappointed.

If i hear how many other teams will run to sign him, I am going to scream. Who gives a crap. Pat Riley said it best in his one book. At the pro level, all coaches should leave after a certain time period because message gets stale. Its not like college where you have entire new roster every 3 years now and message is fresh. We obviously need a new start.

Glad for Mason. I always thought that he got a raw deal. Feel bad for Trubisky...they gave Pickett a longer leash, plus he seems like a likable guy...but his throwing mechanics are awful. I can't believe that he's gotten to this level throwing the ball the way that he does.

That would have been a x-mas miracle if Tomlin was fired. That would be a angel getting its wings.

100%, I love Riley and loved that book Back to Back. I used his schtick about Career Best Effort (CBE's) in my division. I would assign CBE's to each manager every year as an extra thing to focus on. It worked!!

I love how you guys forget watching Rudolph play a few years ago. He was god awful. We saw it with that sideline throw last week too. He won’t throw off his back foot interceptions though. So at least there’s that. He absolutely should start over Mitch plus please stop acting like he’s going to play well. This offense will still be putrid.

I know a certain someone that will be insufferable if Rudolph lights it up but I’ll be rooting for the Reindeer man regardless.
