That's what I'm saying. I could see if it was someone we were drafting. But this is someone who played in the NFL. And when he did he put up an amazing draft grade for center and guard.

I think this was a reach.

Not a far reach, since apparently Cole’s arms are short.

I think no other sport is as concerned about arm length than boxing, reach as they measure it is the first stat you look for. But in most cases with good technique and speed the guy with the shorter reach can still lay a whopping on his opponent.
    3/8" or 5/8" I don't really care.
Have you ever heard an announcer explain the reason the guard got beat for that sack was because the defender had 1/2" longer arms.
Its really not like being 14 and holding off your 6 yr old little brother by putting a hand on his head as he flails away at the air.

I'm glad that these measurables weren't used back in the old days. We wouldn't have had some of the great Steelers from the past. Mike Webster-arms too short, Jack Lambert-too skinny, Lynn Swann-40 time not fast enough, Rocky Bleier missing half of his foot. Back then it was all the eye test, if you could play football really well then none of this other stuff mattered.

back in the day offensive linemen couldn't use their hands and extend their arms so it wasn't as big of deal.
