Yup! the fact that we have no idea when our name is going to be called is deterrent enough for most.

The Players Union set it up without the random tests just so you could get away with it!

Show of hands how many would rather have the distraction of Hard Knocks about now instead of the circus that is going on now?

This guy is freaking stupid, he knows what happened to Bell last year and he is suspended for 2 games. Leave the weed alone, he's a pro athlete who could be a star in the NFL yet he jeopardizes it just so he can get high .

Can I nominate TH for Offensive coach of the year already with all the adjustments that he will need to be making if the offense comes out of the gate strong and continues that pace? Pouncey, LeVeon, and now Bryant? Ughhhhhhhh!!!!

I guess I was one of those knuckleheads but I also was in good with the piss test NCO so I knew in advance when there was a test coming. From what he told me they would pour half of eaxh sample into a big like tub and then test it and if it tested over a certain percentage they would they test each sample.

I'm pulling for Murphy but in all actuality its would be asking a lot of any of the 3 rookie WRs to step up to the number 3 in our offense to start the season. I think it will be DHB just because he is the more experienced. Imo he can't be any worse then the Justin Brown experiment last year.

I guess Chris Carter didn't explain that you can't have a fall guy for your drug test...

What type of individual are we drafting? I know I am antique
but what ever happened to in training for athletes where you conditioned yourself and trained for your chosen sport. And didn't put bad things
into your body. I am afraid it all comes back to that these superstar athletes have had everything given to them since the 8th grade and truly believe they are above the law. It is getting hard for me to comprehend.
    Possibly millions wasted.

It's different now. Ours is on a random generator that spits the names out. This year I've seen our CO get tested no less than 4 times...Also, you get tested on checking in and leaving as well as unit sweeps at different intervals.

There are idiots that get busted at boot camp when the first damn thing they do when you get there is give you the urine test! In '92 I was standing next to a guy who had his eyeballs popping out like I'm so screwed.

The procedure is so sensitive that they do test in batches though. If there's a positive then they go back and recheck the individual samples.

So Bryant works hard in the off-season gains 20 pounds of muscle, yet he continued to get high . It's a selfish thing to do he let his teammates down, there was talk he would be the #2 WR this is a setback in his development.

Something I've often wondered, when somebody fails a test at work or military or sports for that matter, hasn't a crime been committed and isn't there some sort of obligation to report it to law-enforcement?

As for Military, we fall under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) and for drugs, it's a one strike deal. You'll get treatment, but you're out sure as day.

Alcohol is a treatment deal. If you're not caught by the police they don't turn you over to them since you're prosecuted in the military.

As far as more serious crimes, there's a good chance you will get tired twice civilian and military and serve your sentences concurrently.

Hell, if you get acquitted in civilian court, you can still be prosecuted in the military depending on what you were found to have done.

It's not illegal to do drugs . It is illegal to possess them or to sell them . So failing a drug test has no legal standing in the Court of law .

What crime did he commit? Being high at some point in your life is not illegal. Besides, there's no legal requirement for the Steelers to report criminal activity to the police. Moral obligations perhaps, but not a legal one

North America really needs to get over their obsession with weed. It's ridiculous that people are still going to jail over this drug. Right wing politicians need to get their heads out of their asses. Pot laws do nothing but harm society

Just another general reminder for everyone: discussion of politics is frowned on due to its polarizing nature.

It's fine to state you have no problem with Marijuana. It's fine to say you're against it.

But please leave out any comments about right wing, left wing, liberal, fascist, socialist, yada, yada, yada. All it does is close people's minds and alienate people.

We're here to talk about the Steelers and football. On some days, that's polarizing enough. ;)

Bryant is a ****ing moron plane and sample. We have another Josh Gordon in the making. You don't get a 4 game suspension with one failed drug test. He was tested multiple times and failed. Time to get rid if this cancer now

    I've heard that as well.

We joke aroud here that once you get on the "random" list your name tends to keep popping up every test afterwards.

Thank you for leaving politics out of it... oh wait. We have family who we've watched weed destroy their life, hardly harmless when you see the results first hand.
