The Steelers lost three receivers in free agency this week, Scantling hasn't signed with any team yet that I'm aware of, he averaged 19.0 yards per catch the last two seasons with Green Bay.

Mason throws a decent deep ball, if he has to play .

MVS will probably want $8m or thereabouts. Not sure that is particularly good value. They still have to pay Minkah and Diontae

I would look to the draft for another WR in round 2 or 3 rather than bringing in an expensive free agent. They should have enough weapons with DJ, Claypool, Muth, Najee and a mid round WR. With an improved offensive line that group should be fine. I know a lot of people are down on CC after his sophomore slump but I’m hopeful he can bounce back in 2022

I wonder what’s the asking price for Julio Jones and T.Y. Hilton?

There is no veteran leader in that WR Group. Have to get someone to provide that leadership. As asinine as this will sound, Jarvis Landry would be a quality pickup in my opinion.

Fire competitior on the field and very vocal in the locker room as well. Besides, cannot enter the season with such a void.

Quite frankly, I don't think there's been a veteran leader in that group for a long time. AB was a leader in workout ethic and film study, JuJu I didn't think started to lead anything until probably the middle of last season and he was hurt.

All the more reason I would want Jarvis. At worst, he is not taking BS from no one. That is what this WR Group needs heading into 2022; doubly so when they acquire new talent from the draft. A WR Coach can only do so much.

It's tough to lead men when your vocabulary is limited to "praise him" I mean maybe if it was I am Groot then we could have something but Jarvis will be muttering praise him like its 5 minutes to Wapner

I mean fair enough to that. That said however, I severely doubt Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin can coax someone like Julio Jones to the team. As much as I would like him to come here... I seriously doubt that is happening.

As long as he can pitch the ball back 5 yards to Najee on 3rd n short.

This is the fastest draft class since they have been doing combines. There are going to be speed burners well into the 4th and 5th rounds. I hope the Steelers do bring in a veteran like Cole Beasley or Jarvis Landry and also draft one of the speedsters that can blow past the defense.

I was thinking the same thing. I have not followed his career all that closely, but seems like a no nonsense guy. When all the OB drama was going on he seemed to just show up to work and get his job done. Still need someone to stretch the field, but a guy with his experience and locker room demeanor has measurables you can't calculate in stats

For those who need to know...

    Watch on You Tube

I would say that Diontae Johnson should be the leader. Its time. Landry will come with a high price tag. They will look in the draft and bring in someone on the cheap. Colbert's receiver drafts have been quite solid. Cody White is in the cards.

Hard pass on MVS. Very inconsistent player. Questionable hands and not the best route runner.

They have enough money to make all those moves if they want to, I would rather pay MVS 8 million over a player like Jarvis Landry, they need another two receivers to add the group.
