I was thinking of another Colt WR duo, Jimmy Orr and Raymond Berry. Boyd Dowler and Carroll Dale from the Lombardi Packers would be on my list too.

A similar type 'article' headline came across this week claiming TB would not have even made a team in this Era, or some such non-sense. As you said, what these ',writer experts' fail to point out are the invariable differences, rule changes, nutrition, lifestyle, evolution and dedication to the game (by this I mean players train in some way basically 24/7 now). There was a time guys had off season jobs just make ends meet.
