Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power

Anyone watching? Just a few episodes in so far and it's pretty good. And no @STD, I didn't read the damn books!
I almost enjoy them more than the Game of Thrones series because there is a clear cut good and evil. Also, the cinematography is fantastic.

 

No...I'm not watching.
I've said before....I'm probably the only book lover I know that thinks the LOTRs sucks.
In the 9th grade...I got sent to the principal for licks(paddling) because I told My Lit teacher she must not read much if She thought the LOTRs was the greatest Fantasy ever written. LOL
Also I heard something about them canceling the show...I don't know if it's true, or not.

 

I've got you beat. I never read them at all. Too much of a fad.
I felt that way about Clan of the Cave Bear too.......until I read it!

Me too but, it was such a fad when it came out. Kinda like the Twilight series a few years ago. Every teenaged girl carried a copy around with them.

Remember around 2003-2004 (somewhere around that time)....everyone I saw that read Had a copy of DaVinci Code in their hands.

It was a pretty good book....I don't know why I didn't read anymore of the series.....Maybe because of being raised a Roman Catholic My entire Young life, and unconsciously I didn't like some of the stuff talked about...
I don't know , but I do remember enjoying the 1st book.

 

Just finished the first season. Luckily, I get to wait till '24 for the next one. Wtf......

They are not canceling it???

 

Not that I'm aware of. I certainly hope not, I enjoyed it.
