Give them rest. Tearing up a terrible Browns team, won't help rhythm, these 3 have already developed by week 17 of the season. Health is the overall more important standpoint at this point of the juncture, Obviously.

It's the right thing to do. I feel sorry my sons' friend whose girlfriend got him tickets for Christmas to go see his first Steeler game against the Browns.

I'd rest half the defense as well. Nothing to gain, only bad things such as injuries are in play for this game. It's almost like preseason competition anyways. Heck, I'd sit Shazier and put in STEELY McBEAM against the Browns.

Bell has proven he doesn't need the reps. Sit him for sure. Also sit Pouncey, because linemen are at risk of injury on every play. Ben and Brown should get some reps though. Just tell Ben that he is not to extend the play and he is not to take any hits. If a Dman gets close, just go down. Brown should be told the same thing, do not take any hits. Ben has always shown he needs reps. He tends to be rusty when he doesn't play.

Yeah I yeah I disagree with this. I would at least play them a half. Keep them in rhythm. I fear Ben being rusty and Brown only needs like 6 yards to have the most receiving yards ever in a 4 year span.

So i was just looking and thinking over the RatBirds game, does anyone know why D.Will didn't play any??
I am assuming that he will play a lot this week with toussiant..
Also, I am hoping in the playoffs we use him and Bell on the field at the same time.. Maybe line Bell up @ WR for a play or two..

The Browns aren't going to be fragile with the Killer B's because we are in the playoffs. All it takes is one play for someone to be injured, and we can't afford to have that happen at this juncture, in my opinion.

My vote goes to resting them.

Dwill can get some reps but rest him too. I'm looking for guys like toussaint and Richardson to carry the rock.
Maybe Gilbert can finally get some cb action (against his old team)
Meck can get some reps at qb.
This will give Green,Tuitt, shazier and Harrison some extra healing and rest time.

DW had a set back during the week he doesn't need to play either he is a vet he knows what and how to do ...I agree on using him and Bell together in the post season so no need to risk his health either...

I would stick with fully resting these players:
    Ben
    AB
    Bell
    Pouncey
Decastro(maybe let Finney play over him)
    Shazier
    Timmons

Harrison and Tuitt I would play for about a half or less..
These 9 are VITAL needless to say to make it to the Superbowl

Based on Tomlin's press conference, he is planning to do just that. He even spoke about how much he wants to go into the playoffs with Bell, Brown and Pouncey.

    They show one snap....

    I don't remember that one...Maybe don't mess with what's working?

Or they thought he'd be rusty with blocking assignments?

Dolphins game should be the warm-up. Stop Ajayi and you win.

Good. No point in risking such injuries.

Besides... looking forward to the likes of BJ Finney and others playing more anyway. :rawk:

The Browns currently have the #1 pick in the draft.
    A win may jeopardized that.
On SiriusXM, Joe Thomas says the players want to win but the decision makers want the first pick.
EDIT: nothing to disagree with here, a Browns player said this in an interview.

It is a smart move. The Cowboys risked it against the Lions and got away with it but there was a play when Elliott took a hard shot to the leg that could have been trouble. Forget records. We finally have the 3 B's all healthy for the playoffs.

Even if the brownies win, they will still pick #1 since SF is the next worst team with 2 wins that are both against division foe (Rams). This is a non-issue. They want to win if they can.
