I didn't say Matekavich couldn't do it, I said he'd have to play better than he did that night.
That being said, he can't do it.

 

Opposed to? Jack Lambert? No. Opposed to what we have on the roster at present? Yes. Moreover...if given the reps how good can he be? We have no idea how high his ceiling is given the reps he's getting.

I can tell you this...if he is given some starts and consecutive reps. Full games in other words under his belt watch our run defense increase leaps and bounds.

 

He has value as a special teams player. That is the only reason he is still on the roster. He's not a starter. I'm not making any assumptions there. I've seen how slow he is. Lack of speed at inside linebacker is killing that defense and you want to make them slower. That's the truly bad judgement here.

 

Shazier always had the ability. It took time for him to learn to play. Matakevich lacks the ability. I'm not sure why this concept is so difficult for you to grasp.

 

KC biggest mistake was ignoring the ILB position in the draft .

 

You lose all credibility if you had any, when you say Matekavich and Chickillo should be starting .

 

Again...you know this how? You must have seen him getting reps that I haven't.

When you come in here and there to spell a player it's hard to get into the flow of the game and have an impact.

You are no different writing Dobbs off that he can't play after a whopping 12 pass attempts.

Matekavich plays fast. He and Chickillo just need reps.

When you write players off without an opportunity to play or not...you sound foolish and immature.
