These two guys have serious all around talent and for the life of me I still can't understand why we didn't use them as a two headed monster against defenses. It sucks Bell is out but boy did D. Will fill in nicely today. Imagine a defense trying to cover Ben, Bell, Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, Heath and Williams all on the same play.

Instead we just go with the hot hand and park the other RB.

How long will it be before the refs notice they have 12 men on the field?

Yea, My bad, My counting is off. But they should of used them together. Take Wheaton out of the equation.

    D. Williams had a great game today. Got my wife a Williams jersey a couple weeks ago. Just ordered 2 more for me and the kid!

Nah - has to be the system. No one could manage to have such seemless replacement players. (unless your name is Dri Archer or Josh Harris).

If it is the same ref crew as today, they'd call 12 men even if we only had 11.

I think running backs need to be in some sort of rhythm to start ripping off big runs. It would be like pulling a hot RB for a guy coming in cold on every series. Not a good game plan. Plus Bell is a much more serious threat than DWill, both as a receiver and a runner. I really like Deangelo, and think he is a pretty darn good back in his own right... But I think the time share between the two was exactly what it should have been before Bell's injury.

Now if you're talking more about two RB sets instead of giving Williams some of Bell's touches, then disregard the top part. It would have been an interesting package, but I don't know how successful it would have been. We wouldn't have had a lot of time to practice it, so that would've made it hard to execute the plays like we do the ones we've practiced since Haley has been here. Also it would take out a fullback for tuning situations or an extra receiver in passing ones, so there would be only a limited amount of spots where we could use it on game day. Maybe a few plays here and there to catch the D off guard, but I don't think it's a good package to make the staple of your offense.

As I have said many times, the pass/run ratio has to be
close to 50/50 watch the Steelers wins climb. We have 2 excellent
backs when healthy lets use them.
