give them the proper pieces to do what they want to do and it may surprise people. get that good blocking TE to complete the process. it's not a dig on muth or heyward. they do what their strengths are pretty well but blocking is not their strengths when it comes to running the 12 and 13 sets that the OC wants to upgrade to. they helped the interior offensive line to upgrade, so why do just half the job?

Last year the OC did not take advantage of what we did have in place. Also don't have the confidence that it's going to change. Hope I'm wrong but until I see it.

Once Harris got healthy and the line came around, they were able to run. That wasn't the primary issue on offense.

difference between bad to adequate and adequate to good. i just think with the addition of seumalo that was only a partial upgrade, the good blocking TE addition would finish the upgrade.

i think it is trending in the right direction. we even added to that side of the ball with an assistant. why stop with just an addition of a starting guard. finish the upgrade.

Fixing the tackle position would finish the upgrade. Okorafor is a weak link in the run blocking. Moore is miscast at left tackle. Get that left tackle of the future and push more to the right side where he belongs.

At worst, he competes and loses the job at right tackle. At least they would no longer have a left tackle who becomes a turnstile against speed rushers.

I don’t think that can’t miss LT prospect is in this draft. There are a couple that are decent and a bunch of meh players. I don’t see them going o-line early. I can see defensive line early and possibly cb. I can also see them drafting someone like that center out of Arkansas in the 4th.

he was far worse early in the year as far as giving up those sacks. two were the first game of the year. the whole line was pretty bad at that point. he got better as the year went. as the steelers have said, he doesn't make the same mistakes twice and learns from them. i think the kid still has upside. paris only played one year at LT. he gave up 9 hurries and 2 sacks for the buckeyes. he didn't face the type of pass rushers the NFL has. nothing is guaranteed. i'm actually liking either one from oklahoma. either could be an upgrade to okrafor.

i kind of agree. there are some pretty good tackles in the draft that we shouldn't have to pick in the first or move up for. either one from oklahoma would be nice pickups. the only corner i would see them move up for would be gonzales.

My dream is jalen carter in the first and in whichever order Washington and Banks in the second. Unfortunately, they would have to trade up to get carter and then pick one of the two in the second.

I'm not sure that Washington or Banks would make it to 49.

Exactly. We would have to give up 17 and 49 at a minimum to get carter and then either Washington or Banks at 32. If they don’t trade up for carter I would be okay with either bresee or banks at 17 and Washington at 32. For the record Porter scares me as a first round pick.

the only way i would move up is for gozales. if not those picks at 32 and 49 are too valuable to not keep. we cn still get really good players in the top 50 picks. that would net us 3 picks out of 50.

    Matt Canada?! No.

Glen Thomas?!. Let us see. More optimistic than Canada since he is the one who oversaw Matt Ryan's 2017 NFL MVP season.

Pickett is the most important factor in the Steelers' progress. Playing game manager the second half of last season was fine, but he needs to take on more this year.
