Not sure if it's because he's a Raven, but people are underestimating Jackson. He's a very good QB. Fine, take away his running and he's not nearly as dangerous, but he's still very young. His running skills aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I wouldn't want to spend $250 million on him, but whoever does sign him will have a very dangerous weapon at QB while he's in his prime.

What made it so beautiful was that just when it looked like the Browns were gonna stop being so "Brownish", they out Browned themselves.

    Browns gonna Brown.

Watson was a great QB. He's missed some time so rust is expected, but he's still in his prime so I expect him to bounce back just fine. They obviously anticipated the PR issues and to be honest, there really hasn't been all that much noise.

If Watson performs like he can, then the contract is just fine and the Browns will be tough to compete against for many years to come.

Your opinion. So Cam had 3 winning season out of 11....that's great??
Matt had 8 out of 15.
They were both average, or below average except for one year.
Appears it doesn't take much to impress You. So Ben, Manning, Rodgers, and many others must be like God's of football to You.

Ben, Manning, Rodgers and others are HOF QB's. I never said Ryan and Cam are HOF QB's, but they were far better than average at their peak, far better.

It can be done, but the Ravens would have to tag him, then find a trade partner that's willing to meet their price and his price. Some owner may do it, but look at the Broncos and Cards. You guarantee that much you better have a plan in place or you can ruin the franchise for those prime years.

Is he really that good...Since entering the NFL in 2017, Deshaun Watson is 7-19 (.269) against teams that finished the season with a winning record.

With every injury his knees sustain, his running skills are incrementally diminished. In two years, Jackson’s career will be essentially finished because he’ll be having to rely more on his arm because he’ll be less of a threat to run. NFL DCs will have no problems trying to defend against Lamar if his primary weapon becomes his arm and not his legs. Wishful thinking? Maybe. But when he’s having knee injuries that keeps him out for multiple games that’s a concern.

And Ben won.a SB with the worst QBR of all time. Takes more than one player to win games. Watson was very good.

You are talking one game versus an entire career. Not the same comparison. Watson is a .500 win percentage career quarterback. Just because of his stature and the fact he won a national championship, people think he's some kind of automatic Hall of famer.

I don't care about college. His stats and his play were very good. The team was terrible. I didn't watch every game so I honestly can't claim that he didn't leave wins on the field, but a QB alone can't rack up wins. It's a team sport

Going to get nasty if this whole thing turns out to be a Lamar Jackson holdout. If you are wondering Lamar was a complete No Show for the Playoff game this weekend.

Jackson did not practice Thursday, either, making the announcement Friday that he had been ruled out for Sunday’s playoff game against Cincinnati Bengals a formality. When Jackson sprained a knee ligament on Dec. 4, Coach John Harbaugh insisted he could return in a matter of days and would probably miss no more than one game.

The issue is he really hasn’t developed at all as a passer. That could be partly the coaching, but the bottom line is he’s not good at throwing to the sidelines, which is bad news for an NFL QB. He’s not Cunningham or McNabb, both of whom had very good arms.

The pregame for the game tonight was awesome. Adam Schefter and Steve Young were questioning the tweet by Jackson today and Robert Griffen was all about defending Jackson, saying it's just about his health. Even Booger McFarland said he thought it was a shot at the organization. I would be kind of surprised if they work a deal out.

Listening to all the speculation on talk radio, there really is not much the Ravens can do. They can tag him 2 ways, but if he signs its guaranteed money and its not cheap. He can refuse to sign and sit for a year. He will lose millions, likely, but some guys learn the hard way. Its not like every team is looking for his type of Qb..and willing to pay a quarter of a billion in guaranteed money.

A different situation but just heard that Rodgers is going to make a decision sometime in the future. The Packers allowed this by giving into this nonsense, now they are stuck and held hostage. Understanding a franchise QB is not easy to find, but when you give the reigns of your entire franchise to him you can lose more than just games, you can lose years.

Baltimore getting rid of Greg Roman is a good sign Lamar is not coming back.

Be funny if he ends up with Lamar's new team.

Either that, or if they only sign Him to a franchise tag....this way they can get started on changing the offense back to a pro style O. We shall see.
I really really want them to sign Him long term, and fully guaranteed.
