I like it dude is quick. He fits into haleys system perfectly and tells me rb isn't too high on their draft chart now. I think they are to see what Dwyer can do.

I like this move. I see it as a special teams move primarily. He's a pretty darn solid kickoff return guy, and he can give you enough good change of pace stuff on offense to be a useful runner or receiver.

I love this. This guy is a home run threat and is a good 3rd down back, something we don't have. Redman and Dwyer are not good 3rd down backs. Now if only Ben will throw some passes to our RB's.

I like this signing. At or near the minimum, this is a good value.

This doesn't really have much bearing on their draft board.

I dont think they are going to carry 4 rbs on the roster. That would be Dwyer, Red, LSH, and a rookie. Baron Batch is still on the roster and it normally takes a full year or two to heal from the injury.

Oh man, this makes me feel so much better.

Maybe the Steelers take a chance on Lattimore now?

He's not a true 3 down back, no. He's more of a change of pace or 3rd down specialist. He's a real home run threat though, the dude is fast

Like TTF said, this won't change their draft board one bit. They're still going to execute the same plan they've had all along

He's not an every down back though, so unless they feel comfortable with Dwyer or Red carrying the load, I think they still pick a RB. It is a lot to carry on the roster though, maybe someone is getting the boot.

I'm excited about thte signing however; does this mean Rainey is done? I know his injury was devastating and this seems to indciate it might be career ending.

I think they want to see what Dwyers got. He was looking great when the line was healthy and no running back would have been successful behind the line we had towards the end of the year last year.

You mean Spence and yeah, they aren't confident in his return, really horrific injury, just obliterated his knee.

Are we just collecting 2nd and 3rd string RB's?

I love LSH to fill the Mewelde Moore role of ST's, 3rd downs, 5 carries per game type guy... But if it prevents us from getting a RB I'll be upset. We could get a starting caliber guy in the 4th round with this deep class.

LSH is OK, but nothing special. I would take Redman or Dwyer over him any day. A. Bradshaw would have been better, assuming he was healthy. Get Barner in the 4th or 5th; he is MUCH better than LSH for 3rd down, impact plays.

I would actually put LSH and Redman and Dwyer on about the same level. Dwyer has the potential to do more if he continues to develop and sort out his conditioning. Does this signal a commitment to rb by committee? Who knows.

I do like this signing though. He's a ST threat as well.

No they weren't. Haley went to KC in 2009 which is LSH's rookie year
