Some nimrods here think I hate Tomlin because I point out things, to the Tomlin apologists, where Tomlin could be even better. My criticism has always been that he is lax with discipline and stubborn with clock management and challenges. The first three games of the season we saw the same old undisciplined defense where players were committing stupid penalties and allowing an inferior team into the game. For the last two weeks, I have noticed a difference. Let's hope it continues! We have not committed foolish penalties. Yesterday, I saw Tomlin adamantly barking at a defensive player, while pointing to his head. Because of the mask, you couldn't read his lips but I can only assume he was telling the player to "use your head!" "play smart"!
