Are you upset that they had a solid 2nd half and won?

Haha, very exaggerated statement, to say the least, but taking what you said on face value, you can say the same thing about Josh Allen the last season and a half

Kenny has a lot of what cant be taught. He plays BIG when the game is on the line.... but there are still plenty of question marks with his game and things he needs to improve on if he wants to be THE GUY. He still seems to process when the other team is blitzing too late and doesn't do a good enough job quick-checking to his safety route. He did step up in the pocket a bit better today, but still an issue (we saw him try the long spin to his backside into an Intentional Grounding flag in the game too).

There is a lot to like, and a lot that NEEDS to be better. I am fine riding it out because I know it took Ben 3-4 years before he really broke out as the elite player he came to be. His beginning of his career was a solid game manager, and I am not so impatient that I will only give Kenny a year and a half to decide on him. I don't care that he's older, he is still in that same phase of development.

We need to stop pretending that 17/25 for 230 yards and 0 TD's is some type of statement. He played fine. Right now he's a game manager that wins games down the stretch. We can win a lot of football games with a guy like that... but we need to pump the brakes a bit. I'll start to get excited when he starts sprinkling in some 300 yard games with multiple touchdowns in there.

Overall though solid game by Kenny. Played well down the stretch and made big plays when it mattered (even if his sneak that got called a first down to ice it looked short on replay). Lets keep improving.

Just another guy who would rather be right with his doomsday predictions than give credit when the team does well.

To be fair no one has consistently put up good numbers in Canada’s offense.

I've seen the "crown him after 1 game" comment four times this year and several times last year. It's freaking HILARIOUS!

Kenny 13 and 5 since the bye week last year.

People think that because he is older, he should be further along in his development... its a flawed argument, but it definitely is a big reason why KFP hasn't been given that timeline from fans.

His age is meaningless. He played college ball for a long time, but only started into his NFL level development in his FINAL collegiate season. He's still a guy that has only started 17 NFL games. Ben took until his 4th year to be a Pro Bowler and wasn't truly elite until his 6th. People just had more patience because he was 22 his rookie year and Kenny was 24.

Personally if it takes until Kenny is 27 to be elite, so be it. In today's game if you can get a good 7-10 years out of the QB from 27 onward.

It's funny how it's just him that plays like crap the other 3 quarters but not the rest of the team............

If He learns to navigate the pocket better, not bail early (notice it's when He's at His best), and learns to see the field a little better......He can be very good. Nothing wrong with His arm , or accuracy.

Dumb post. Najee averaged 3.8 yard per carry today plus at TD. Not fantastic but not bad either. He worked hard today and honestly looked like a man possessed

I've always said that IDC if you're 34 and played 15 years of college, there's still such a huge gap between the leagues that anyone is going to have a learning curve.

Pickett played well today. Hung in the pocket nicely, that's something that he needed to improve on. Let's hope that he continues to grow.

Well, they are 11-4 since the bye last season... but yeah.

The defense has averaged allowing only 18.4 PPG in that stretch while getting 2.3 turnovers per game (including on downs). They have allowed 17 points or less in 10 of those games. We DEFINITELY should be winning our fair share of those games. The offense and Kenny hasn't exactly been carrying us during that stretch.... the defense has. If we had an NFL average defense we would probably be closer to 4-11 in those games than 11-4.

Look, Kenny has done some great things and has led some 4th quarter wins by being proficient in the big moments. That is AWESOME. I am happy that he is our QB and am willing to let him continue to develop into the QB we need him to be if we want to win in the playoffs. But there has been no big statement. He hasn't arrived yet. He is getting there... but there is still plenty to work on.

Last time I checked.... The O line is a clown show.

The O line is holding the whole team back. Crap on top of crap.

Pickett is the least of our problems.

I don't have any stats in front of me, but I think there's probably a strong correlation between the success of the Steelers' run game and Kenny passing with confidence and accuracy. I believe what we have is a QB who - at least at this point in time in his career - really needs to be complimented in the ground game in order to truly flourish. Ben was a phenom but he did greatly benefit early in his career by having a great line and a solid running corps.

Kenny isn't a Ben R - and he certainly isn't a Mahomes type of QB who's gonna be able to take the whole offense on his shoulders and win as a gunslinger. He absolutely needs a strong supporting cast, which - incidentally - is just what he got in the second half, and the 4th quarter in particular. And there's nothing wrong with him needing those things, especially as a young QB - but that's just how it is is.

It sucks that he's lacking a solid line and consistent running game, but as this game has shown, sometimes all it takes is a string of successes to get the ball rolling - and when that started happening, Kenny suddenly looked sharp, looked ready to play, and even made Canada look good to boot. If Kenny is to truly blossom into a truly good QB, though, he's gonna bring his A-game to all four quarters, and not just the 4th.
