Let's look at our current starting defensive line up....

    Cam Heyward - stud
    TJ Watt - stud
    Haden - stud
    Fitzpatrick - stud

Mondeaux - undrafted free agent on 3 different rosters
Wormley - 3rd round pick on his 2nd team
Bush - returning from injury, some say he sucks, some say he hasn't had enough time
Schobert - 4th round pick on his 3rd team
    highsmith - developing, very young
    sutton - decent
    edmunds - arguable bust

fill in players with significant time:
    Loudermilk - rookie
Buggs - 6th round, little time
    Adams -4th team since draft
    Tuszka - 7th rounder on 2nd team
Charlton - no playing time in past
    Norwood - 7th round rookie
Pierre - small school undrafted free agent

I mean honestly, with this roster, I'm not sure you could expect Chuck Noll and Bud Carson to be able to win with these guys at this point in their career. I'm not saying these guys can't turn out to be studs someday, but I'll say 5 out of 11 defensive starters wouldn't be a 1st stringer on any other NFL rosters (barring injury), they just don't have enough playing time prior to this season. I don't see why you would change your scheme because half of it is playing remedial football and the other half know their jobs and perform well.

That being said, I've not been overwhelmed by any successes of Keith Butler either..... I just think this season is hard to place blame on the coordinator based on our roster.

I’m looking at PFR: Newton’s faced PIT and NWE twice each. Two losses to PIT, with his QBRs of 99 and 103. Two [losses to] wins over Belichick’s teams, with QBRs of 125 and 131.
