Just some observations going into the 2021 Playoffs

I know every team holds, but I don't see the refs miss the blatant holds on the Steelers, like they did on that one play with Watt against the Colts.

 

We see what we want to see, even subconsciously. There's missed calls every single game. If you look hard enough, you'll find one every play. It's the nature of the game and the nature of being a fan.

The facts are that we are one of the crown jewels of the NFL. We aren't a dirty team, and we're not even a particularly physical team, so there's no reason for the refs to have any kind of subconscious bias against us. We aren't a powerhouse, we're not even a favourite to win it all, so there's no reason for anyone to resent us.

There's no conspiracy. There's just human refs trying to judge a game that's moving incredibly fast with rules that have a fine line between bending and breaking.

 

I’ve lived in 4 NFL cities: Buffalo, NY, Houston and Pitt. And in 55 yrs of watching football, I’ve never heard any home fans ever say: Boy, the zebras saved our butt today! Every fan base, every week thinks the refs screwed them or at best didn’t affect the outcome.

there was a psych study done in the ‘50s, They studied an Ivy League game and interviewed fans of both teams after it ended, Bot fan bases were convinced the refs favored the other side.

 

I was only expressing my opinion, I want to see Steelers go all the way.
