Just chiming in...

This season, I have started to voice my opinion quite a bit more than I have in seasons past, especially after the Tampa game. But...I also don't want to bark so loudly only when times are tough. There are a few things I've noticed lately that I really like and wanted to point them out. We were in NYC for a wedding this weekend, and I had bought tickets to the WTC museum for Sunday at 4:00pm, as I thought we may need the earlier part of the day to "recuperate" from the reception the night before. Btw, do yourself a favor and go to the WTC museum, it truly is a sacred place and the organization who refurbished ground zero and brought it back to life did an absolutely outstanding job! Anyway, thoughts on the team:

#1 - I've said all along that Todd Haley is not the problem and I believe this week strengthened that argument. He called an outstanding game, although I do wish they had given Ben the chance to get the extra 31 yards or so to break the record

#2 - I applaud Tomlin for being the bad guy and benching the players who aren't getting the job done. Yeah I'm talking to you Cortez Allen. While he makes some good plays from time to time, watching the 30 minute edited game on NFL Network from yesterday, I just cannot believe how much he got toasted in the Indy game. Sounds like he's being benched again, and this time it may be indefinite. It's absolutely nauseating to think about how much money we just gave up for him. I sure as hell hope he's able to turn it around with this wake-up call!

#3 - Brice McCain & Antwon Blake. These guys may very well be a part of the long-term plan in our secondary. It's awesome to see under-rated no-name players take advantage of their opportunity and make a difference

I hope what we've been seeing the past couple of weeks is Tomlin finally starting to put a strangle-hold on the lackadaisical attitude of this team, and that he's getting through to these guys that their roster spot is on the line. Since I only saw the 30 minute highlight episode of the game, I'm sure there are some other things that you guys saw which I missed. But I must say, going to the WTC museum Sunday was well worth missing the game.
