What would we do for a qb? Star qbs are really hard to find. i saw something on espn that compared brett farve ( oh hell no i know but h ear me out) to other teams starting qbs and there were 5 or 6 that would take #4 over who they had. So no way should we even entertain getting rid of ben because who knows how long it will be before we get another one like him.

A 1 and a 3 next year from the Vikes? Sign me up.

We have Laundry(misspelling intentional) a 4th round pick from last years draft to carry us through!! No worries.

Malone was 80'? They had Stout, whom they thought was TB's heir apparent.

And before Stoudt they had Kruczek. And after drafting Malone, they drafted Rich Campbell.

Thanks, I don't recall Malone being great by any means, but he wasn't as bad as some of the others.

I was just confused as to why they spent a first round pick on Malone when they thought Stoudt was their guy.

Good question. But I grew up watching Pac10 football. I remember watching Malone beat USC in Arizona State's first year in the conference. He had a gun. At the time he was drafted, I remember there being some eyebrows raised: Malone had that kind of potential coming out of college. He was very raw and needed work.

Yeah, Malone certainly wasn't the worst that we trotted out there between TB and Ben.

Had a gun, was a very good athlete, had great size, was wildly inaccurate, looked like Magnum PI. Wish we hadn't drafted him. We would have been more likely to draft Marino had Malone not been on the roster.

    Edit: NO

This is easy for me. No. But let me ask you THIS question.... What if the Packers offered us Rodgers? What if the Broncos offered us Manning? What if the Pats offered us Brady? Would you guys STILL say no? I would on all counts.

Rodgers is awesome and IF I were gonna do it he would be the one I would do it for. But I would take Ben still. I'm not sure Rodgers could handle the beating he would take behind this offensive line.

Rodgers is pretty tough, he gets sacked as much as Ben, in fact, he doesn't get hurt like Ben does. I think Rodgers is the best QB in the league, I'd do that trade and you know how much I like Ben.

I'd trade Ben for Rodgers straight up today.

Not to mention he's like 5 years younger, maybe 4 years, around that.

Let me get this straight ...BFT...Pack offers Rodgers...Broncos offer Manning...Pats offer Brady....Sorry BFT...But Id take Rodgers & Manning over TB...Leave Brady on the table....Thats just me

I'm saying the only person I would CONSIDER trading Ben for is Rodgers. I still would say no to that trade though. I would NOT take Peyton over Ben. I actually wouldn't take Rodgers either but I would come CLOSEST to doing it for Rodgers.
