Fair enough. Seems to be a lot of that going around.

Good luck to him. I am sure he had some offers this offseason but nobody was going to give him the money he was used to again.

Not bothered about him retiring as a Brown, albeit I think he left there amid a contract disagreement so it is a bit surprising I suppose.

You are really stretching to find negativity in a 100% factual post. You might want to consider your own perspective before reading your own negativity into an objective statement of fact.

I get the feeling Haden wanted to be paid like he's still that guy, if he would've settled for the vet minimum he probably would be playing, he talked to the Browns during free agency that's the only interest in him that I know of.

Even if that is the case, we have all seen players with a similar skill set as Haden sign places for less at the end of their careers. If a team like the Rams, the Bills, or some team that is a contender came calling, Haden would be there.

I don't think it was money. No one wanted Haden. Perhaps his skills diminished far more than we all realized.

We are all wrong sometimes.....Cool thing is You admitted it.
You would be surprised at how some would be turning this around into a pretzel....just so they wouldn't have to say they were wrong.

I think it was money or playing time. I doubt there was no team willing to give him a near-minimum salary contract to play a part-time role, but he probably didn't want that. Hell, I'd have liked to see the Steelers keep him that way, but it didn't happen.

Or maybe no team wanted him as a starter, I do think he can still play.

Joe can still play, yes we did treat bad him by casting him away.
Only the great Darrel Green i can recall playing corner 20 years in,
corners normally don't last long at all

Did Joe Haden retire at the game tonight?

That would be pretty cool to retire during a game of the two teams you played for.

They generally don’t tie it into a game

It’s unofficial and generally just done as an informal courtesy

He wouldn't accept a reduced role, with lower pay.

With the horrendous play of Witherspoon it's a shame he retired. Could use him.

I really wanted them to draft a CB this year, the draft was deep at CB, but they drafted two WRs and two QBs instead .

Joe said it will happen at the Halloween Monday night game. He said AB was the toughest WR he went against.
