Jets Working on Deal to Send ILB Avery Williamson to Steelers

There is a growing list of good players that struggled under Gase and have flourished elsewhere.

Yes he will be a "rent a player". He hits free agency after this year. With our cap problems he probably wouldnt sign. This looks like we are all in this year. I'm all in for this plan. It's been a long time since our last Super Bowl. This is a great time to be a Steeler fan!!

He's a seasoned Veteran coming off a blown knee in 2019. Before that he was considered one of the best run stuffing ILB's in the NFL and was basically the only thing of value on that crap team for sale.

he was played next to bud dupree at kentucky. i'm sure bud put in a pretty good word for avery. I like this deal.

 

Keep in mind though this is Jerry Jones. He is quite the businessman and is a shrewd operator. Call me crazy but I think ol' Jerry Boy is making a play for either Lawrence or Fields. The next 24 hours will be telling.

That is very true. He's built the team to win now, so the next moves will be quite interesting.

I have the Jags, Jets and Giants as the worst teams. All of which wouldn't surprise me by taking a QB.

You could get away with giving it to Cam, but it's normally an ILB for this team.

 

The lack of speed and quickness at ILB was apparent vs the Ravens. Hopefully Avery can come in and make tackles on the inside and outside.

 

This is a fantastic move for the Steelers.
