Ja'Marr Chase

In the past I have defended JaMarr Chase given how, while I did see immature behavior, more often than not, such behavior was warranted. No more.

I'm sure that his teammates are not giving him **** for what he did.

But I think it's appropriate for coaches to talk about how guys have to keep their heads. Not everything is going to be as egregious as this was. And coaches can't give permission for retaliation like this (even though it's justified in this case IMO).

The ridiculous thing about this IMO is that the league couldn't get the image of the spit during the game and also eject Chase (not that he ended up doing anything). They can't spare one guy in NY to look at this when a player says "I swung at him because he spit on me".

 

I guess Chase couldn't predict this hit coming

Little Prick is being nice. There is another word but I personally have exceeded my quota for the day. I'd imagine me and you are of the same mindset of said term regarding whomever stated that Ramsey shouldn't have retaliated.

 

If both were suspended a game. I would argue that Ramsey was ejected and chase was not. So chase needs to miss an extra game.

Spitting is the same in the rule books as punching. And worse personally to players and coaches.

 

The internet tough guy act is not as impressive as you think it is.

Give me smart, tough professionals who respond to vile acts like Chase's by making them hurt where it counts, on the scoreboard. Ramsey accomplished nothing but hurt his team and give Chase the opportunity to laugh at him for being an undisciplined dumbass.

Hopefully, the league will handle this appropriately. They need to suspend Chase for a game. I have also seen speculation that Ramsey could get a one-game rip for throwing a punch. That possibility should go away once the league sees what Chase did.

 

It's not about morals. I wouldn't have any problem with Ramsey taking a cheap shot at Chase later in the game or confronting him off the field later. Reacting like he did in the moment accomplished nothing but hurting his team. That is especially true if Ramsey ends up getting suspended.

 

The league should count getting tossed from the game as time served for Ramsey.

 

Can't respect a guy who puts his team first? Come on.

I understand not fixing it during the game, but the league needs to handle it now by suspending Chase and not Ramsey.

I wouldn't say that. Have You actually watched the Ravens play. They still aren't good. Hell they probably would have lost to the Browns yesterday if they didn't have to bring ShedderrrSanders in.

Ramsey kind of took a cheap shot at Chase earlier when he lit him up on that incomplete pass, probably why Chase did something to get back at Ramsey.
