I hear you... it was very hard to get off that roller coaster ride. But I'm telling you, I'm actually enjoying the games way more now, especially with Rodgers at QB - there's always a chance/hope for a score which is a new feeling since Ben retired.

All I care about now is if I am gloating on Monday mornings to people at work or not.

If we switch coverage, and on the players, then it wouldn't be the same thing. LoL I suggest you go back, and watch. It's like people saying that the D had a LB on a wr a few times. No the ball happened to be thrown at the Wr at that time as he crossed in to the zone of that LB. They didn't actually have a LB on coverage of that wr. When we switched from different man concept to different zone concepts , the same people aren't on the same people. LoL

LoL. Some of You make me giggle like a school girl. You have no idea at what You are seeing. This doesn't mean they weren't bad on D, but it's not what many think it is.
Also do any of You remember that the Bengals say something like this every time they win, but have nothing to say when we beat them.
I believe last time they won they tried saying we just gave up, and then when we beat them soundly the next time, they had nothing to say. No....we knew what they we doing, mo they gave up. Yet You people believe it. They love making some of you feel stupid.

When a bengals players said this,it was in the first matchup in 2021 when they beat us 24-10...The second game, they beat us 41-10,it was 31-3 at halftime

And I guess we have been playing the same thing with them since then, and they just let us win the other times. LoL. You know when a man that's going to fight You says something to disturb/make you angry, or upset you before hand, they don't do it out of the kindness of their hearts. It's to get into people's heads. If they actually knew exactly what we do every time, they wouldn't say a thing about it. Some people are gullible. Plus the film shows we didn't do the same thing every time, so that in itself shows the lie.

Flacco had a release time of 2.27...when that's the case and the QB has a great game, it means your defense is beaten before the snap...Yes, the Steelers defense had several different coverages but Flacco knew what to expect every time before the snap.It was poorly disguised coverage too many time and this is not the first time it happens

I agree with that: people will lie all the time just to mess things up, so who knows where the truth is. It's all just media talk and head games.

I do think what Bengals do is effective: Tomlin is scared like a chicken from Flacco and Bengal WRs, and it sure seems like the talk from Bengals gets into Tomlin's head - the one guy that matters. Tomlin is so scared he's blaming Browns for helping Bengals - just man the F up and say we are going to kick butt even if Bengals signed Brady.

Which was the correct call given how Dan Moore was on his way out. This is no indictment of Quinyon but Troy Fautanu was a Top 10 Prospect Coming out. The only two reasons he fell were due to the perceived lack of length (disproven at the combine) and the injury big (messed up in his Rookie Season but has been healthy since).

As for thr 2026 Draft?! Who would be the selection for QBs?! Only one I can think of right now is, shockingly enough, LaNorris Sellers. His overall talent and potential are easily worth a Top 3 if not number one overall selection but everything else about him screams Day Three to even UFDA on other cases; namely his footwork in the Pocket and Pocket Prescene. Accuracy though is what really let's him down.

Another QB I could see would be Alabama QB Ty Simpson. However, should he declare, I also think that he will likely go in the Top 10 if his level of play continues like it has been.

    Tell that to AR II.

Chances are both get extended again. Or rather, Austin may be relieved of his duties next season and Tomlin the season after the next. I wouldn't get my hopes up about that though.

How were they able to predict complete chaos from the D? Or how about no ability to execute any defense the Steelers threw at them? They tried everything and nothing worked. They didn't need to predict anything. They just needed to do whatever they wanted

I specifically remember Holcomb split out wide on a receiver. I was shocked. If I can find it on the tape again I'll post a capture.

The steelers have so many problems on defense since the Lebeau years despite so many differents players...When players like Shazier or Watt can't save the steelers, this is ugly

Yes it will happen, it's called scheme. We do it all the time also, but nobody says anything when we do it to someone else. But what I'm specifically speaking about is during the game day thread someone said it twice, and both times it was just a wrs passing through that zone.

    It isn't about predicting chaos.

Opposing players have been talking about this since Chase Young said it back in 2020. This is a pattern of behavior. If anything, Julian Edleman and Matt Patricia both have been on record in saying how often Pittsburgh uses the same strategy; meaning this has been going on longer.

One aspect about all of this is constant. JaMarr Chase is yet more confirmation to a continual unfortunate truth. Mike Tomlin refuses to change.. anything. Until he either does or is gone, expect more of the same.

That's quite a word salad there. None of what you wrote has anything to do with my reply.

1st. How did Ja’Marr Chase know a player that has never played against him on this team, and has had no set spot since he's been here , would be on??
2nd. We didn't run the same coverage all game, or whom, was on whom. So how does that fit with what he said, and.....the moat important........
3rd. If they knew exactly what we were doing every time, how do they ever lose to us.
Think about it very openly, and see that none of that makes sense.

It has everything to do with it. The only way what he said would be true is if we ran the same exact formation, play call, and personnel, every single play. LoL

I made this same exact point the other day. You dont hear any player talk about how predictable a team is the way players do about the Steelers.

Spot on. Flacco read the defense and decided who he was throwing the ball to, on every play, before the ball was even snapped.

It shouldn't make sense. That is my whole point. However, remember the PodCast that the likes of both Julian Edleman and Matt Pratricia were on. New England constantly had Pittsburghs number when the likes of Tomlin and Belichick played. Moreover to the point, Edelman, in the post above, stated that Pittsburgh is "going to do what they do." Long story short?! Pittsburgh plays defense via "Jimmies vs Joes" and not "Xs and Os."

Other players have come out and state such as well. The media is also catching on to this. At some point in time, something needs to change. If not?! Expect more of the same.

This likely has been going on for a while now. There is one constant. Until that changes, expect the same results.
