Now that its most likely Trubisky starting, is the rest of the AFC North a little more worried to face the Steelers now that it's more of a mobile QB than Ben?

I think so also, plus with more talent added on the OL I see a much better running game and play action being used.

Now that Big Ben is gone. They dont have to worry about stopping 45 2 yard routes all game. My favorite play was the 3 yard pass on third and 6 or greater. Will the o line be better and give QB a shot at a long pass is a better question.

They're worried about how they will now sell out their stadiums during their home games against us with the amount of Steelers fans that might not show up now.;)

Ben went 4-2 against the North last year.

I think every team especially Cleveland Browns fans will be trilled that he's gone and not around any more.

    I would say No.
Since the concensus in all my dealings with Brown, Bengals, and Ravens fans say.....1st thing.....You don't have Ben anymore.
Whether Steelers fans liked Him , or not.....the fans of other teams in the AFCN lost 2 many games 2 Him...so they are glad He's gone. Hell they even lost 2 Him in His old decrepit days.

I don’t know if they’re scared, but would almost guarantee they would prefer the Steelers were trotting ben out there for another season.

No, they’re not worried now, but by the time mid-October rolls around they’ll be plenty worried. Maybe less about QB play specifically than overall team play.

    Is anyone afraid of Trubisky?

Maybe he reinvents himself in Pitt but would you have said the same about the AFC EAST when Brady went to Tampa? Or maybe the AFC WEST when Peyton left?

Ben had a great career but based on the past two years from what I saw Trubisky can't be worse. It will be nice to hopefully see passes over 5 yards again.

I hope that play is over now that Ben is gone, so frustrating to watch 30 yard incompletions on 3rd and short.

It's funny. In Trubisky 5 years in the NFL he had 64 Tds ,and 38 ints.
In Ben's last 2 sucky years He had 55 tds , 20 ints.
Yet magically Trubisky is going 2 make everything better when He could barely in 5 years out score an old Man's last 2 worse years.
    Yeah makes perfect sense.

Doesn’t a quarterback’s supporting cast play a role in that?

Hail Mary no, but the “occasional” deep ball on third and 2 can be a great play. If they are playing close to the line you can get a big play. And if you do it from time to time they have to respect it and then there is more room underneath for the short pass for first down.

If you don’t or can’t do it, we’ll then you have Ben last year.

Yes. Agreed, but some of His supporting cast Trubisky had has looked good on other teams, or without Him.
Hell His coach that everyone blames was Coach of the Year one of those Years. As far as the D He played with it was very good. A couple of years He played they were better than ours.
I'm not downing Him . I'm just saying. I guarantee, and Promise You .....I hope He turns it around here , and is the Greatest Qb We've ever had.
Also Promise...I will be cheering for Him.

Trubisky just needs to be a game manager, he has a stud RB, TE, and two decent receivers.

Anyone on this board trying to say that the Bears had a better supporting cast than the Steelers is practicing some serious revisionist history.

He’s now got a great chance to impress without the pressure of expectations.

Even Mitch will know that he’s not arrived here as the future of the franchise. There’s no reason he can’t step up and surprise us without that added weight on his shoulders.

Consistent competence will be enough this year. He will impress me if he can help the Offence compete. We’ve got a good enough D to support that, but not good enough to completely bail us out. Nobody expects heroics, let’s hope he he can just carry his own load.
