It just seems like one of those years that every time we take a step forward we end up taking 2 steps backwards.

    Dotson banged up

Jesse Davis is excited, too, if he gets a chance to make his first start with the Steelers. The veteran offensive lineman acquired on cut-down day in a trade with the Vikings isn’t one to show much emotion, but he admitted that Sunday could be a big day for him now that starting left guard Kevin Dotson is questionable to play. Dotson was limited Friday with an abdomen injury.

“You don’t want to get too high, you don’t want to get too low on plays,” Davis said. “You want to stay in the middle, and that’s usually where I try to be at. But excited if I get the opportunity.”

If Dotson can’t play, it would be the first time the Steelers use a different starting offensive line than the one they ran out in the season opener.

Would Dotson not playing really be a negative? He's likely the worst of the Olinemen. He looked so promising his rookie year, but it's been a steady slide since then.

Apparently he is better than Greene and that’s his backup

I saw video of Minkah doing some conditioning, I take that as a positive. Joe Burrow offered some advice to Minkah

Feels like it's been that way for some time. Both sides of the ball seem to never be doing well at the same time. JMO>

I remember Ben would get a lot of criticism when he had a rest day

Rest Heyward and Watt as much as they can outside of the games.

it seems as if they are going to be managing Ogunjobi's knee the rest of the season, but the results are there in the games.

The front seven dominated the first meeting with the Bengals. Hopefully, they can do it again. I can't imagine they will get as many turnovers, but at least they don't have to deal with Chase.

This. One side gets really good....the other not so well....,and when it seems We are about even on both....then a few injuries will occur, but then again....it just might be the way of the NFL.

I’d be curious to know if other teams regularly give certain players a day off or if it’s just a Steelers thing.

Before gambling was a big thing they didn’t have to be quite so accurate

Looks like Minkah will play. That list is a lot healthier looking than it was at the start of the week.

Witherspoon is horrendous anyway this is a decent looking group for Sunday if the offense can ever improve.

I guess it is a good sign that Warren isn't on IR, but I doubt we see him for a while. The key question is probably Cole. He is no star, but I have to think losing him had a little impact on the offense in the second half against the Bengals.

Warren not being on IR is a good sign, but they did sign Teague, so he’s likely out this week at least. I think I read somewhere that JC graded out pretty well after Cole went down. You don’t want to lose a starter, but it could be worse.

Looking slightly better with Boykin and Cole moving in the right direction.

McFarland will likely be the guy to get called up for Monday. Hope he makes the most of it.
