Injury Situation

Okay, I know Mendenhall is done. What about our CBs? Are they done? Lewis and Allen are important to get back if we can. I hate to say it, but it looks like we are right back to having to use McFadden as the #3 for the playoffs. That won't hurt us against Denver as they don't have the ability to throw anyway, but if you have to play NE, it could put us into difficulty. As I look at the playoff teams, these are who this will kill us against.

Cinn - won't hurt, but would make it more difficult. We would have them at home if we faced them and it would be in the AFC championship game.
Houston - Same as Cinn
Denver - Same as Cinn
Baltimore - I worry about other things when facing them
New England - Would really hurt

NFC Opponents - If we somehow made the Super Bowl

I don't think there is one team who couldn't take advantage of our situation here. Detroit and Atlanta both have QBs who can find the weaknesses. The Giants might have the hardest time exposing this weakness. San Francisco due to their style, but they hurt us through the air last time. Green Bay and New Orleans would be a nightmare.

 

This could be the most important Mike Tomlin press conf. we hear all season. Stay tuned. I think it's on at 12noon.

Respectfully disagree. Last year the pass rush was healthy and it did matter who the DBs were.

me: Hello, Coach this is Jim
Coach: ....
me: He...Hello??? Coach??? Hmmm, (must have reached the answering machine)... Coach this is Jim, still ready to play if you need me! I can now sprint all the way from the couch to the fridge. I know, impressive, huh? Anyhow give me a call when you get this message
