That we would play the majority of the season without alualu, tuitt, decastro,Williams, juju, ebron, and extended absences from buggs, Haden, Davis. In addition to those multiple games missed by watt, highsmith etc.

What would have been your prediction for our season?

    Simple question

8-9 because ben was still going to be the QB and i knew who the coaches would be. unlike some people i wasn't fooled by the 2020 record and the win streak or as i like to call it, the win squeak because those wins were nothing to feel good about. every game they played ugly football . this team was crap then and it was destined to only be worse.

i'll go ahead and predict right now another losing season for 2022

    Wow. Good question.

Hard to say in hindsight, but probably around 7-10. I was thinking 9-8 going into the season.

    8-8-1

That's the standard. And the standard is the standard.

Not showing off, not falling behind. Right in that meaty part of the curve.

This. Because that is what I predicted, even though my prediction came in August or early September. I figured Tomlin would upset a couple of teams, Buffalo and Tennessee; they would lose a game they should win, Las Vegas; the team would tie, but didn't expect it to be Detroit; and 3-3 in the division.

We could see the lack of depth in preseason. Green was getting pushed around in preseason. And we all knew Ben would be an average QB.

Tuitt not being there and Alualu going down finished this season before it even got going. But to specifically answer that question I would have said somewhere between 6-11 and 8-9.

I guess MT is actually overachieving. Look for another extension.

Same exact prediction as I did. 10-7.
We will end up being 9-7-1.....So I'd say pretty close. If Ben plays at Detroit it would be exactly like I predicted. So.....

Take off those black and gold glasses, with all those players missing they wasn't going to win 10 games.

So if We Win our last 2....Like We will....That makes us 9-7-1. If Ben plays the Detroit game that makes us 10- 7. So ....what are You talking about????
    I'm confused.

Because most reasonable fans if they knew all those good players were going to miss that much time, wouldn't predict 10 wins from this team.

The same as I said it was before the season started: 6-11, and that wasn't just because of the players.

Not 2 argue with You because I usually agree with You,........,but...most reasonable fans should dang Well know that You are not getting through the season unscathed. You are going 2 lose Starters. I seriously took it into consideration when I picked 10-7.
Being a couple that got injured got injured last year also....I dang sure took them into consideration.

But most fans didn't expect Tuitt, and Alalu to miss the whole season, or Ingram to quit on the team, I thought Schobert would be better. Also, I didn't expect Bush and Claypool to regress.

If they stayed relatively healthy, I expected 8-9, 9-8. With the injuries, two more losses, 6-11, 7-10. A tie didn't figure into my initial prediction, so I won't include it here.

Ok....I suspected Alualu 2 be injured...He was a big part of last year...wasn't sure about Tuitt coming back. I complained about Claypool last year. I believe I started the wish He could stay on His feet.
I'll give You JuJu, and Bush.
Haden ....Even though He's still our best CB. At his age He's going 2 miss some time. He has the last couple of years.
Though I did think the Oline would Be better. Had I known how bad they would be. I might have picked 9-7-1 instead of 10-7. LoL. J/K:thumbs_up:

Well I predicted 9-8/8-9 without those injuries so the fact they are still around there is pretty amazing to me.

Those injuries, to a fan that isn't wearing black and gold glasses, amounts to way more than 2 more losses.

No other team has injuries throughout the year that they have to overcome. Only the Steelers. You MT fanboys are really something else.

Yeah that’s crap. He had a good year so he will get injured next year. He’s only the center piece of the defense, but losing him won’t cost us any games.

He was injured last year, or did you forget????? He missed 6 games with injuries last year. Add another Year 2 his already aging body.....Wow..
Big stretch I thought He maybe injured again. LoL.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
Instead of waiting 2 attack someone's comments. Maybe kind of know what you are talking about?

And if you looked at our run defense without him last year compared to with him. Add to that all the other major missing pieces on defense there’s no possible way you thought we would be 10-7 or whatever it was you claimed. It’s completely disingenuous.
