How do we use a healthy Joe Haden? Hell, I'd stick him on Gronk like flies on $*** the entire game...

Tough assignment. The issue with Gronk is that he is too big for corners and too fast for linebackers. You need a very fast LB or a very physical safety to match up with him one on one. Berry from KC did it earlier in the year,

That would be fine , but then they will have Hogan open on every play . We really can't stop them . I am sure The pats expected more zone play as the game went on they had dissected our man coverage . Next game they will be ready from the 1st. snap.

We need another Team to beat them for us .

We have more weapons than they do it'll be another shootout. Brown should be back and hopefully the hour glass McDonald . Just need to make some stops at the right time. Can't give Marsha the last minute drives he lives for them

...we will lose to New England again. And until the Steelers prove otherwise, that's just the way it is when these two teams play in meaningful games.

Well you have to double up on that idiot gronk who got away with taunting the whole game, butler said earlier in the week he might put watt on him, at least he should have on their final drive, and on offense you cant go the whole 4th quarter without scoring while they scored 11, in big games you have to be aggressive the whole game because you cant nurse a small lead, and if bell had scored that touchdown instead of james it would have been a TD, it's OK for a back to break the plane but not a receiver which is the dumbest end zone rule in the book....

Dont count on AB being back for the playoffs, they said he has calf muscle tear depending on the degree of the injury it could be weeks or months before it heals:

Torn Calf Muscle Recovery. The best way to recover from a torn calf muscle is by protection, rest, ice, compression, and elevation. If treated properly, it can take up to three weeks to heal Grade 1 calf pulls, four to six weeks to heal Grade 2 muscle strains, and three to four months to heal Grade 3 tears.

    Not sure.

That is something I hope Butler can figure out though. Leaving Gronk by himself is like leaving Antonio Brown by himself; big no no.

death by a thousand cuts. Gronk is gronk, we lack the talent to stuff them 100%. Miami didn't have to face gronk

I would honestly assign Allen to him all game long with help. Don’t bump him let him off the line and make Brady drop it in over Allen’s height.

I would take Mitchelle off the field . I would take both inside lb's off the field on long yardage or passing situations at the end of the half or at the end of the game . I would never run cover 2 or cover 3 .I would play single high man or single high man/zone . My high guy would be DHB ,imo he could have broke up that first deep ball and could have possibly batted away another ball or 2 as well. He has the speed and the type of play needed to play the Pats . Mitchelle is horrible at competing for a ball,, as a WR DHB has to be better than him.

Get more coverage able guys on the field and more speed deep at the Safety spot .

More stunts up front from the DL . I would have at least 10 different stunts to every gap and be looking to find the ones the OL is having the most trouble with .

Put Harrison in front of Gronk at the line of scrimmage and shove him back into the backfield, all day long.

Gronk was held in check pretty much til the 4th when they geniously lined him out wide and our staff wouldn't double him for whatever reason. Next go, you can bet they'll do the same thing however hogan will be out there as well. These guys can be beat and if the coaches quit out thinking themselves I think we take em. If there is such a thing as a good loss, this would be one of em. Our guys came up short. Kind of has that feeling of a decade ago when Bill said "we'll get em later" in reference to the Colts.

Just need to get as healthy as possible and handle biz make the run when it matters!

Not really . Just simple facts . If we had better Safety play and I believed in their ability to play in a way that would work then there would be no reason to play DHB.

As it stands we have no Safety who can cover the space and combat the ball on deep throws . Why not use the fastest guy on the Team who also has the ability to read and react to a ball in the air . As stated as a WR he would be much better at that than our current Safety group.

Just because the Steelers approach is we do what we do,,,it doesn't make that the best approach ...

Right. He busted it out in the 4th, as great players will do, because of his skill and our coverage - or rather lack of. Double him in crunch time and keep playing man. That's the only way to do it.

Man, I'm really hoping we play them in the playoffs. I want to see us beat them so bad that being the spoiler and knocking them out of the playoffs would be just as good as getting another Lombardi to me.

Anything else ( like a 7th SB ) would just be a very, very nice bonus.

Why don't we chip Gronk once he is off the line? Have TJ or a LB chip him and make things harder for him.. I know we don't have the LB crew to stop him but something has to give in order to beat NE.
When/If we play them again, yes we got to continue to go man. But we are also forgetting they didn't have Chris Hogan, and he lit us up last year..

The only fact is dhb has never played defense. You’re just assuming he can because he’s fast. Just because you’re fast doesn’t mean you can cover anyone.
