IF we had lost the division

If we had lost the division and every other game had played out like it did yesterday would we still have been in the playoffs? I never keep up with all the "scenarios" because they hurt my brain and just prefer to win the division and get in that way. So I was just rewatching the Christmas game with the rats and I started wondering what would have happened if we had lost that game. Also, for those that haven't rewatched that last drive again I can tell you for sure that it still brings an enormous smile to one's face.

 

We still would have won the division by beating the Browns and the Ravens losing to the Bengals

 

We would have. But man it was a lot more fun winning the division the way we did and eliminating the Rats in the process! Plus, that would have been a different game the Rats played against the Bungles yesterday too. We'll never know, but if they were playing to win the division I think they would have won.

But...WHO CARES! We're in and the Rats are out so let's go win our 7th Lombardi!

 

But had we lost to the ravens, I don't see the bengals doing us any favors lol. You never know.

If every game played out like it did yesterday and we lost to the Ravens like you said in you're original post? No we would not have gotten the wild card we would still win the division.

 

Oh no I was meaning if the rats had won the division would we have still gotten the wild card. I just wasn't even thinking about the fact that the rats lost yesterday.

I didn't realize that. I was thinking if the ravens had won the division then would we make the playoffs and apparently that answer is no. I was meaning would we have still got the wildcard if we had lost the division and the ravens had won it and every game except the ravens game had been the same. I realize now that I didn't ask it the right way because I was thinking the ravens would have won the division on Christmas night. I guess the best way to have asked it would have been to ask if we still could have gotten a wildcard if we had lost the division and the ravens had won the division.

 

Yes we could have gotten a wildcard, but Miami would have needed to drop thier last two.
