If Steelers miss the playoffs?

The tie hurts in the WC race, but one of the Cincy losses hurt in the division race.

If not for the tie, the Steelers would be the 6 seed right now and their path to the playoffs would be simple

1. Beat Cleveland and Baltimore
2. Have Pats beat Bills today

If the Steelers had beat the Lions, that would get them in as the 7 seed.


Even with the tie, had they beaten the Bengals once, they'd win the division by beating the Ravens and winning 1 of the other 2 remaining games. They'd even win the AFCN by just beating Cleveland if the Chiefs beat the Bengals and the Ravens lose to the Bengals and Rams.

So the next time people get upset over just 1 game/loss, realize that one game can make a huge difference.

 

These bad games run together for me was that the game where Tomlin said he kept the starters in because they needed the work and on the final possession they used the sideline, time outs and spiking the ball to get to the 30 and then Ben hits DJ who is tackled in bounds and they just let the last 30 seconds run out. It was the dumbest series I have seen in a long time
