    Agreed

It was a poor choice of words but I think he just wants to play and we can’t fault him for that

So we like politically correct answers now? Just blow smoke up your ass and all is good.

Come on man, it was one freaking game. If he spent the season on the bench and gave that answer I could understand but one freaking game, nah.

Im very far from ever being politically correct, but as a former athlete, you dont answer questions like that. And I definitely will not blow smoke up anyones arse.
You are getting paid millions to play, act like you belong!

Well thats what you’re all doing by telling him what he should have said, give the answer that would have pleased you instead of how he actually felt.

What do you all think he learned from one game on the bench?

Way too much being made over what was a BS question anyway. Especially from a guy who had always walked the company line before then. For crying out loud he even went to bat for Canada and blamed himself. No one here should expect anyone to handle every situation with aplomb unless they have themselves.

    No

I wanted him to give an answer that did not make him look like an idiot

    He chose the idiot route

No, of course not. I like candor. But candor could have been something like “heck no, I don’t learn as well from the sidelines as I do when I’m out there playing the game. But my role this week will be to support Mason in any way I can and help this team win. When my number is called again, I’ll be ready to go! “. (He needs me to help coach him on how to respond to the media, lol)

Kenny is a young QB who’s accomplished nothing in the NFL at this point and to answer a question about learning from the sidelines with a curt “no” was unacceptable and I’m sure he’d answer it differently if given another chance. Like I said, maybe he had a weak moment and I’m sure his ego was bruised since he’s basically been dubbed the golden child since he’s been here, but the boy has a lot to learn. Hopefully, he learned a few lessons this year and he’ll prove he’s the guy next season. Not holding my breath though.

If Pickett was balling out, no one gives two sh!ts about what he said. But, you know, he's "trash" so everything he says/does pisses people off.

No one is giving up a 1st, Chicago has no leverage.

I’ve been pretty steadfast in my belief they intend to run it back with Pickett this season but in the back of my head there is that little bit of doubt because they didn’t play Pickett when he was ready to come back last season. They didn’t allow their supposed future QB get any playoff experience.

Now maybe they were just doing Rudolph a solid because he helped get them to the playoffs with 3 wins and felt he earned the right to remain the starter but that is still pretty damning for your supposed franchise guy. They even had him get surgery so he could come back and play and then he gets benched. And people wonder why he was salty. That ankle would have healed on its own without surgery, only reason to get it was so he could come back sooner.

I won’t be shocked if a Fields or Wilson deal happens.
