Imagine if they actually used that pick to give Rodgers more weapons.

I don’t blame Rodgers for being pissed at them.

I am thankful he won’t be coming here. The money and draft choices lost would cripple the team for years, and by the time you could put a team around him, he’d be ready for the glue factory. Signing Rodgers would be the kind of move a team would make if it was close but lacked a quarterback, and thought they could win the salami within the next two years.
The Steelers ain’t that, there are enough holes to fill that I would not mind if they traded down to get more picks.

While it appears to be over... Ill need to see the ink dry first. Strange to think this was all just a money grab.

But looking like it might have been. Let's see what this means for Adams and the rest of team. They were 27 mill over..... let's see the moves this costs them

They should trade Love to Denver ASAP for whatever they can get. He is not staying with them now past his contract

Rogers staying certainly impacts the off season.
Green Bay will be a team to watch if they beef up that defense some. (I despise Joe Barry).
I don't think, at least yet, he has 'hamstrung' his team. His new deal gives them some cap room.

But I think more of it as the trickle-down effect.
I was figuring if Aaron went to, say the Raiders, then Derek Carr becomes available and so starts some movement.
There are probably a few teams that fit that scenario.

Now I think the only trade block QB's are Jimmy G and maybe Tua.
This only underscores my belief in that Rudolph will line up behind center and enjoy some new weapons around him.
Maybe a rookie to push him.

That drama is over now on to the tier 2 drama. Trubisky, Winston, Marriota and who ever else strikes the fancy

So now he’ll exacerbate the situation by sucking up even more of their cap dollars.

Yeah, I do agree about this. But, given how much of a me monster Rodgers is, he may have given them good reasons behind the scenes to go QB shopping.

Now that Rodgers set the record for highest paid QB, we know his personal MVPs and money are worth far more to him than a championship. Can't build a $2 team around a selfish $200M QB.

The fact that it was even drama kind of surprised me. Some people were for it and some against it. It's not like the Rooney's get on this board before making a decision to see what we think. All it was is people expressing their opinion which I always thought was a good thing. I could see both sides really. Now onto the next big decision to be made if any.

    Per Rodgers Twitter
Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up; YES I will be playing with the @packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I “signed”. I’m very excited to be back,”

They have a team to win with right now, they have some money to throw at a WR FA or they can look to the draft, good WR class.

If they put a weapon opposite Adams and with Jones and Dillon, they could win with that.

A better TE would be icing on the cake.

GB is just looking to win a SB in the next 4 years, they aren’t thinking past that right now.
