I Would Almost Guarantee This

If We actually start doing well, because so many media outlets have said A. Rodgers is done, and we won't make the playoffs, there will be excuses, and little jabs here , and there, about why, and how even though we are winning.
They will be about how we aren't really good, and then those same people will be praying for us to lose the 1st playoff game so they can say see, it was all a mirage.
They will never admit the part about they didn't even think we would make the playoffs at all.
Remember the year Ben came back from injury, and we started out 11-0. It will be just like that. Most had us picked last in the division, and to be Tomlins 1st losing season, and they looked stupid, so they tried finding anything to pick at. Watch, see, and remember I said this.

 

I still believe Steelers will end up 7-10.

 

A “done” Aaron Rodgers is still better than the QBs we had the last few years. Along with another year of Arthur Smith we should do well

In 2020, according to the media, the Ravens were the clear favorite to finish first, while the Bengals were considered the last-place team, given their 2-14 record the previous season and the fact that Burrow was a rookie. The second-place spot was considered a toss-up between the Browns and the Steelers; opinions were very much divided.

So, very few people predicted the Steelers to finish first, but the same was true for last place in the AFC North. No one expected the Steelers to finish last...perhaps that was the case in 2022-2024, but not in 2020.

Of course, there will always be some outrageous opinions from random media(and this is like that for every team) like the former Jets GM,Cowherd and so on, but among credible people who aren't known as a hot take machine, nobody predicted the Steelers to finish last that year.

 

Complaining about things you might not want to read or hear in the future is pretty weak IMO. Geez......

 

I just get the exact opposite opinion when I watch videos from ESPN, NFL Network, and Fox. Seems like everyone is now talking about how Aaron Rodgers is going to put the Steelers over this year.

 

Not reading it, some of us listen to the radio while working, and I have heard more than 9 different people on ESPN, and Fox sports say we will not make the playoffs, and it will be Tomlins 1st losing season. Just bringing up the fact that many said the same that year before we went 11-0, and they tried looking for excuses why they were so wrong.

Bro that season ended so horribly it was the biggest mirage of all time and you could see it coming a mile away.

People predicted Tomlins 1st losing season, and some predicted 3rd place, and 4th place in the division. Starting out 11-0 , and winning the division isn't even close to that no matter how it ended.

You get your panties in a bunch anytime anyone says anything even remotely negative about the Steelers. I'm only suprised you dont camp out in front of Mike Tomlin's house making sure nobody speeds.

BTW, predicting the media will at some point say something negative is not a bold prediction, it's a certainty.

While most fans seem excited by the offense's potential this season, it will really boil down, again, to how well the defense plays. The secondary is completely remade. To think it will be smooth sailing out of the gate is a little optimistic. Sure, they got the vet experience but haven't worked together all that much beyond training camp. And the newbies on the DL have to step up with Heyward one foot out of the door.

The Steelers play the 9th toughest schedule this season. Last year they played the 16th hardest. The division front runner BAL has an easier schedule (so does CIN).

I can't seem to unsee another 9-8 season....

 

I'll be really PO'd if Wilson tears it up for the Giants and Rodgers has a bad year.
