I don’t want to hear a word ever again from Mitch why he is not starter.

Correct. But he sucked because he literally gave zero ****s about the game and just wanted to get paid. Not because of his God given ability. If you're predicting that Caleb Williams will never watch film, become overweight, and be addicted to codeine. You got me.

You're right. They got trubisky because they feared they couldn't draft kenny pickett cause everyone was knocking down the door for him. You're absolutely right.

Also those two guys went to the absolute worst teams in the nfl. Pickett did not.

I'll admit he wasn't looked at as an elite option by any means.
If he was he wouldn't have been there for us to draft him. But at that point in the first I don't think it was a reach.
There's been numerous QB's who were one year wonders in college and turned into great NFL QB's.
Pickett's story isn't written yet. He has every physical tool you could want in a QB. His weaknesses are all mental. Hard to fix most of the time, but it is always fixable, unlike the lack of physical tools which can't be fixed

In this current nfl I don't think he has the tools you'd want. He's good for the old school nfl where you just needed a qb to not mess it up but not in this nfl going against these qbs, the offenses, and rule changes that favor the offenses. Physically hes average to barely above average in every aspect. Theres nothing at all special about him physically or intangibly. I just could never see him being on the level of mahomes, Allen, burrow, Herbert, etc.. the only way you're getting away with someone like him is having a all star team like the 49ers.

The Steelers have nothing to lose by starting Rudolph next week. They also have nothing to lose by starting Mark Robinson and Marvin Leal. I'd prefer they use the rest of their games to evaluate what they have with guys that have barely played. They may just provide a spark.

Trade Pickett and Pickens to the 49ers for Purdy immediately

That would be DR but I don't think he can over ride draft decisions anymore :hmm:

They can’t start Mason next. Could you imagine if he lit it up with over 300 yards and 3 or 4 tds?

However, I think over time he and Pickens could be a deadly combo.

It's funny to Me that SOME of the same people that seen enough of Mason in a little over a handful of games, and Pickett in about the same....say they are not good, but are SOME of the same that people has seen Trubisky for over 60 games, and still have excuses, and ideas for Him.
Say it with Me ....Trubisky maybe should have been signed, but.....He should never have been the only one getting 1st string reps in every preseason game, and just given the job. It shouldn't have been His to lose. I don't know who to blame for that, but it was a mistake.
    Edit:
    I don't have a clue why I said say it with Me.

Maybe, but notice how nobody got a chance to see if it was true. Hell We really never even got a chance to see if Pickett could beat Him out.
They pretty much just gave Him the job after signing Him. I never once seen a fair competition that whole time, and I'm not just talking about Mason ,but for Pickett also.

I did not say that. I haven't even thought that much about a comparison, in part because it isn't really relevant. I'm just pointing out that you are making these vague statements to back up your claims about Williams. People are saying one thing or another, so in your mind, it must be true.

Do you realize that physical talent is just one part of what makes a quarterback? No, I don't think you do.

No, he went to a terrible offensive team, which has become steadily better with him taking the snaps in recent weeks.

I have my money on Zach Wilson as a QB who will light up the NFL, being a highly coveted prospect out of college

It’s amazing what good offensive coaching does for a young quarterback.
