I don’t want to hear a word ever again from Mitch why he is not starter.

LOL....If you'd just take away all of Picketts incompletions and int's, he'd be leading the league in passer rating.

I agree, but one is in His 6th, or 7th year in the NFL, and the other hasn't even played a half a season all together.

They knew they could draft Pickett. No one really wanted him.

So then what the hell is he building upon? He's not some project that's a great talent like Josh Allen or mahomes for example was that you saw ok he's raw but if we can hone in his talent we're on to something. He's an average talent so where are you building upon high ceiling wise? And he was 24 which is old for a rookie. So you're developing a guy nearly a half decade to 30 with no special talent?

Okay, I think they're equally awful! At least Mitch can scramble a bit.

    Against whom?
One is an NFL starter so you know what he does against that level of competition. The other has yet to do it. No one knows how Caleb's talent will hold up in the Sunday league.

That's just a flat out untrue statement. If you can't acknowledge that, then this convo is pointless since it's not based in reality.

We will have to disagree on this My Friend. It's cool. I think Mason has a way better arm then Mitch. You know that Mitch has one of the lowest air yards most His career. There is a reason for that.
Like today everyone said what a nice deep throw to Pickens, but if You go look. Pickens had that for a easy TD, but had to stop, and turn back for the pass that was throw way too short.
    Sorry for the book.
Again....We will just have to disagree.
There is a reason I was called a Trubisky hater before the season started. LoL

No one wanted him in the first round. Several qb needy teams completely passed on him and no one wanted to trade up. We know how teams are desperate and reach for qbs they have no business taking. Like this yr. Some mock drafts have ANTHONY RHICHARDSON as a top ten pick. I've seen people trade up for guys that were like the fifth ranked qb in their draft class and no one would for the supposedly first qb in his draft class. They were the only ones who really wanted Pickett.

Pickett has been bad so why you mentioning how he looks in the nfl. While no we haven't seen Caleb in the nfl we've seen how special he is on film. He's doing things Pickett didn't do IN COLLEGE. He's better than every qb prospect this yr and that's saying alot.

Oh god, we're not referring to Trubisky as MT now are we? That's going to get confusing.
It's bad enough we have a Pickett and a Pickens

How does today show our WR's are open and Pickett isn't finding them? What did Mitch do that shows that?
And you don't get to take away the INT's, that's not how it works.
The thing with Mitch is he's always been very conservative and I think you're seeing why. He's just not capable of making all the throws. So when he tries to take chances, when he tries to really move the ball, bad things will happen far too often. Bad QB's can't just take away the INT's.

Playing Mason now is like trying to take the ugly girl home from the bar at 2 a.m. after trying to get with 2 other girls.
Playing Mitch again after today is like.... well....a really f**king bad decision.
My vote is the ugly girl.....

Steelers are terrible at drafting quarterbacks. Already Bailey Zappe and now Brock Purdy are significantly better than Pickett. Ugh.

    Ugly girls need loving too.
Besides, sometimes the backup plan will show you a good time.
We're not making the playoffs. We were never a contender. What the hell do we have to lose by putting Mason out there and take the cuffs off him. Give the dude a green light to chuck it all over the field. See what happens. At this point I just want to see entertaining games the rest of the season. I don't even care that much about wins or losses. Take the reigns off the boys out there. Let them play, let them have fun and see if we can string together a couple wins while playing entertaining football

If Pickett can't go next week then I would like to see Rudolph get the start against the Panthers. I can't imagine that he would be worse than Trubisky today.

Peyton Manning was bad as a rookie.
    Trevor Lawrence was bad.
Lots of guys are bad as rookies.
Give the kid some time. Playing QB is not like being a RB.

I didn't think he was good prior to playing in the nfl. This isn't justifying my reasoning.
