Elite imo is a guy who can with average talent have a team in the sb picture. There's only a few of those in the league rn and really only a few of those in history.

Everyone of the guys you named were on stacked teams from top to bottom and had great coaching staffs as well. We havent had that in a long time now.

Mahomes has elite talent. Rodgers did nothing for the past couple years. Brees did nothing without talent. Prime Ben doesnt touch Mahomes either.

There is only 1 qb i can name with average offense players that still has a dominant offense and you know who that is.

Rodgers did take his team in what was it 2016 to the conference championship and that was a very average football team. Hes been injured the past few years. A healthy Rodgers had greeenbay in the sb picture every year he want injured and he again looks to have greenbay back on that track. Brees I agree is not the guy who can take average talent to the promise land. Mahomes is literally in a class of his own. Maybe a prime Rodgers can be comparable but that's about it tbh.

We havent been stacked on both offense and defense since we lost to GB in the SB. And even though that team lost the sb, I thought that was the best team ben ever played on. Only problem is Rodgers at that point in time played out worldly.

True, but when they do... they usually lose. See @Raiders in '12, '13 and '18. @Seattle in '15. @Chargers in 2015 is the most recent win.

Of course but that difference alone doesn't explain away how bad that performance was in comparison to how good Brady is now. He needed to play to become what he is now. He wasn't it to start.

People on here were saying he’s not the answer one quarter into the game on Sunday. I had to stop reading the game day thread. Things take time, people can’t grasp that basic concept.

Yes, agree... they expected Rudolph to post Mahomes-like numbers in his first start in a west coast road game with a sub-par performing O-line and injured starting TE.

No No No. That's not even fair to bring up Bradshaw in this! Totally different era, it's not same game any more. The defense was allowed to commit murder back then. If you want to compare, use QB's of this new offensive era. You can't even compare to Brady's first season. Brady is the reason why QB's have it much easier today.

We have no choice and he does deserve more time. This is a lost season where we are experimenting with Mason to see if he is a starting QB plus we are trying to solve the defensive questions. It`s all about preparing for next year. It would not hurt if Brady retired after this season and Mahomes got a season ending injury next year.

Not knocking Mahomes but how does he have average talent on offense?

SF in 2011 when Ben got beat from pillar to post and Tomlin left him in the game to get destroyed. I will never forget that. Right there is where I started to question Tomlins football IQ.

They found a perfect system for Brady to operate and the rest is history.

Check out some of the lines on Steeler wins with Bradshaw under center. The numbers he would put up for a game some of today's QB's put up in a quarter. Of course the game is a lot different now. A lot of games Terry just had to hand off most the game. Defense was shut down so didn't need a ton of points.

My God man, he is 2nd year player with little or no
real game experience. He needs help from the overated OL
and inept coaching staff we employ.

I don’t believe so but with the beating he took he probably wished he did. That was crazy he was in the 4th quarter still getting pulverized in a game we had no chance of winning. Still smh to this day.

I hope the o line gives him a chance to finish the season. He's definitely not a dual threat & needs experience on where to step in the pocket.
