With next year's draft projected to be better for quarterbacks, a hypothetical draft question: If Pickett, Willis or Ridder is still on the board when the Steelers draft at #20, do the Steelers take a QB?

There is talk of the Steelers wanting to trade up for Willis. If he is still there at #20 the Steelers will trample anyone in their way to announce the pick.

I absolutely take Pickett at 20. No question about it. Ridder I pass on and maybe think about it if he's there in the 3rd round. Willis, I don't know thing 1 about him. Honestly, at this point in time I don't even know where he went to college.

My 14 yr old son who is a sports crazed kid just told me he went to Liberty. Who do they play? Saw some highlights just now. Still would rather have Pickett.

    If Willis is?! Yes.

Doubtful that the likes of either Ridder or Pickett are the pick. Pickett is what he is at this point and Ridder's accuracy issues are a great pause for concern. Should Willis not be there, BPA.

I think if either Pickett or Willis are there, the Steelers will take one of them. Not so sure about Ridder though. I think he’s a second rounder. The more likely scenario if both Pickett and Willis are off the board would be trading up in the second round to grab Howell, Corral or Ridder.

Pickett or Willis is no question in round 1. While I agree Ridder is not a round 1 guy, he is defiantly a round 2 guy.

What's the difference in this schedule and Roethlisberger playing at Miami (OH)? The power fives wanted Roethlisberger to play linebacker. So Willis could become a star. For the Ridder naysayers, Josh Allen had accuracy issues as well when drafted. If a QB with talent puts in the work, he will succeed.

    Northwestern 14

    Miami 41
    Colorado State 21

    Miami 42
    Cincinnati 37

    Miami 45
    Akron 20

    Miami 59
    Buffalo 3

    Miami 49

    Miami 45
    Marshall 6

    Miami 49

    Miami 56
    Central Florida 21

    Miami 49
    Bowling Green 27

    GMAC Bowl

    Louisville 28
Interesting to see that Ben won his last 13 games at Miami and then his first 15 starts the next year with the Steelers. Giving him 28 straight wins as a starter.

The difference is. One broke records during that time, and the other was mediocre.
    Big difference IMO

I don't want them to, but I voted yes

If they feel Trubisky can be that guy.. then why waste a first round pick

If they think he is just a guy and will draft the next guy... then why not just let Mason play for a year and use that cap money elsewhere

Myself... I'm letting Mason and Trubisky show me they can or can't and drafting next year based on them

    HACK

Thank God Ben lost that first game against Iowa or he would have won the Heisman and more than likely would have been drafted by either NY Giants or San Diego Chargers. As a Steelers fan it was Ben's best loss ever.

Steelers should pick up another free agent QB Journeyman for depth to go with Rudolph and Trubisky. Draft defense in first 2 rounds... maybe WR in round 3.

Hines, I don't want Ridder either ( even though I like him over over Willis AND Pickett ) I just don't want any QB in this draft...But Ridder doesn't compare well with Wilson, He's 4 inches taller...
