It can be good and bad I guess, I feel that this team really just plays to the competition because they look ahead (even Tomlin admitted he did)and they already think they will beat bad teams and come in unprepared and lax.

Hey at least we will be pros at coming from behind and have nerves of steel playing tight games. Eagles will lose first tough game they come across since they are just blowing out teams and nerves will cripple them.

Troy...absolutely yes. Game changer that an OC needed to game plan around. Taylor...no way. That guy was over rated and nobody was scared of him. I miss the Rod Woodson days and how he played CB in his prime.

They did win 2 Super Bowls with Taylor as the #1 CB.

Who's Bozwell? That guy that missed that extra point? or the guy that kicked the 53 yarder? :hmm:

I think Ike was underrated if anything. People knocked his lousy hands and rightfully so, but he was a great cover corner and strong against the run.

No offense but we really need to stop with this notion that the Steelers are so revered that teams play up to us. You don't think every opponent that plays the Pats is trying to play up to them? Does it ever work? Hardly. But against the Steelers it's much more common for a lesser team to beat them.

The patriots had low scoring games against 3 losing teams this season, they beat tampa by only 5 points 19-14, they beat the jets by only 7 points 24-17, and they beat the chargers by 8 21-13 so they have played down to the competition also, they squeeked out wins just like we have..........

That may be true but for them that's the exception not the norm.

Steelers played basically " flawless" during the 94, 97, 04 seasons. How did those seasons ultimately end? Conversely, they were average throughout most of the 05 season. End result? Super bowl win.

Playing well near the end of the season and making plays in the postseason matters most.

That is correct and then single handly almost lost the SB against the Cards by getting lit up by Fitzgerald down the stretch. And let’s not forget the great Bronco Tim Tebow’s slant over the middle against Ike to win the playoff game against us. All good and just razzing. Just a matter of perspective.
