How I would fix the 12 team CFP

Different sports my friend. In basketball 2-3 guys can rule the courts. In Football it takes a whole team, and depth.

 

12 teams is fine...24 teams would be way too much

 

Maybe that's why we see so many small schools competing for the championship. One or two guys can make a huge difference in basketball. Smaller rosters mean that there will be more recruits available to them.

 

Instead of adding more schools.... consider how the MLB playoffs are set up. 6 teams, the top 2 seeds get first round bye. The you would see other 4 play. Then you have a 4 team playoff but with one extra round.


This option will leave out ALL the non-power 4 schools but they're not really invited anyway.

 

I say the power five winners are first #1-5 seeds, then the highest ranked teams after that. 12 teams is enough.
