Still too many holes and not enough plugs. And it just got worse with the possible news of Terrell Edmunds tweet thanking Pittsburgh peace-ing out.

It might sound defeatist and not pleasant to hear, but I’m thinking some trades and releases need to be made in order to gain more roll players and draft capital.

I listen to some pretty solid podcasts -DK Pittsburgh Sports, The Terrible Podcast are far and away my favs. I think both have some very great insight and content.

I “feel” a little validated because coincidentally just today DK made some very similar points that I’ve made here about trading away Dionte Johnson.

Then, here in NYC ESPN radio with Bart Scott (my fav and most hilarious sports radio personality) and Alan Hahn about how the Jets will not give Greenbay the 13th pick but will try to give the STEELERS two 2nd rounders for our pick#17 and pass that off to Greenbay so the Jets can still get their LT. ————— Interesting…!

Four picks in the second round?

Trade DJ plus one of those new 2nds and move back into the first and get Addison because I don’t see DJ making any kind of leap in his abilities. I don’t think he gets a 3rd contract here either. I want some kind of value for him before he walks away free and clear after another season of absorbing most of the passes, running backwards and making a couple critical drops. PLUS, we open up a lot more cap space - like 18 million…!!!

I hope our front office are former chess champions because we need them to think like that.

Nice, a Frampton story from when he was at his best. Not personal (sadly), but 2 guys from my Army unit were at the Frankfurt, Germany airport waiting to pick up an Officer. Frampton walked by, stopped and talked to them for about 30 mins, took out his guitar and played it while they talked. They said he was down to earth and just as cordial and interested in them. I really have no idea how his public persona was or is to this day, just that however made a great impression.
