No I never wanted Sean Payton. I think Tomlin should get at least 25 more years to get us moving in the right direction. If by that point we still haven’t won another playoff game Art 4th should at least consider moving on.

The roster and his coaches he chose is his responsibility as you mention and is the genesis of most of the issues we face today, IMO. He's had a decade and a half to get it right and retool many times and those are extra chances he's already been given. This 14th millionth MT broken record thread is pointless simply because we all know what is going to happen based on the precedent that the Rooney's have followed. Roethlisberger was untouchable until age caught up with him. He was old for a player. Tomlin is only 50. He's not old for a coach.

His post Ben resume will speak volumes. If keeping him 5 post Ben seasons with a maximum of 6-11 keeps him out of the HOF. Then I am all for him staying. Although the HOF is very watered down so it really isn't that big of a deal.
