Regardless of how ticked we are at some guys for not really "showing up" today I think we can all agree that Heath was absolutely lights out and is one of the most reliable and purest "Steelers" of all time. I just really felt like saying that. He's flat out one of my all time favorites and I believe that old number 83 jerseys will grace Heinz on gameday for generations to come. Good Job today Heath!

I would have given him an A+ but he did have a holding penalty. Have to give him a solid A now.

Yep, he's awesome. He's everything you hope a pro football player will be. Great at his job, humble, appreciative of the fans, by all accounts a great teammate, he's the consummate pro.

I said in the game day thread, if it weren't for the advent of the "flex" TE in the last 10-15 years, he'd be a lock for the hall of fame. He's the best pure Y TE of his generation. He can can get open, he can catch, he can run block, and he's good in pass protection too. He's the total package.

He goes in my personal Steelers ring of honor with guys like Hines, Carnell Lake, Tunch, and Merrill Hoge.

He's in my own little personal "Hall" too. Him, Rocky, Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton. Guys like that. Heath is maybe my all time favorite Steeler really.

I love the sorta "under the radar" guys. They are more special to the fans really. Somebody asked me about a month ago which Steeler I would like to compare myself to and I said Heath instantly. I said "He's hard working. He's a good teammate. He does the little things right. He has a good attitude. He's a man of character." Those are the values that I value. Just Friday I heard a couple of dudes bragging about how smart they are in fantasy for getting rid of Heath. Then today he comes out and kills it. I honestly hope they both lost. I like the fact that Heath is sort of like "our little secret" or something. He's the guy that any real Steelers fan will praise constantly but outsiders are just like "Oh he's not that good because his fantasy stats" and I'm like "Yeah but I bet you LOVE your Le'Veon stats! Well thank Heath for a lot of those!"

    Ain't that the truth.

 I'm ashamed to admit to you that at 12:30 today when I learned that Antonio Gates was active, I took Heath out and put Gates in. It cost me 12 points and probably the game. I got what I deserved.

I think he's the best all-around TE in the game. If the Steelers decided they wanted to feature his pass catching ability a little more he could have been having games like he had yesterday throughout his career. But Heath, being the unselfish player he is, is a consummate team player and if they need him to stay in to block he'll more than gladly do that. The fact is that their o-line has been so bad for most of Heath's career that his blocking was a necessity. He's the epitome of a team first player and is one of the most selfless players I can ever remember in pro sports.

Heath is the true definition of a team player. A fan favorite, even in opposing stadiums. A true workhorse and is deserving of any and all accolades.

    Yup, he's the man.

If I were ever to purchase a jersey, his would be on the short list. (Miller, Polamalu, Aaron Smith)

I thought that holding penalty was BS. The one on Spaeth, too.

Heath, you played great, and you're my favorite Steeler! :dancing:
