I think I read somewhere or one of those damn podcasts I listen to, that Plax wasnt a good blocker?

WTF? I was under the impression that he had developed into a good blocker before he left Pittsburgh. I think he's got the size and blocking ability to really be effective for the other receivers/RB's after the catch.

I would think maybe he isn't quick enough to get into position... He is tall lanky and kind of goofy, more a strider than a quick burst guy.....Guys don't stick around and let you get position. Hines great blocker.... look at his body type and he was known for being more quick than fast.

I hope you are wrong because a blocking receiver adds so much to an offense.

That is complete non sense. Plax was an above average blocker when he was here. He's not what Hines Ward was but he did get a fair share of crucial blocks for big gains.

I thought this too but was thinking that maybe I just wasn't remembering right.

I thought I was missing something when I heard/read it. As big as he really is, I don't see how he couldn't block a 5'9"-5'11" 195 pound DB. He may struggle with a bigger LB, but he's not a tight end.
