I'm not a fan of Tomlin at all, and never will be.. But going from 2-6 to 8-8 with a rookie QB and a chance to make the Playoffs, Tomlin should be considered COY..

    Not even close to COY

If he makes the playoffs and wins at least one game he will be a lock for Coach Of The Year.

At the end of the day a win is a win. Especially in the NFL. No style points needed. Beat em by 1 or beat em by 60.

The turnaround you have to tip the cap to Tomlin. They were buried early on. I feel he reeled in the Trickster and the offense is now playing a physical game. If they get into the post season this team might make some noise.

The Ravens are in the playoffs, are they a weak team? 49ers needed overtime to beat the same team we mopped the floor with last week. Are the 49ers playing like ****? These are NFL wins. The same teams the Bills, Chiefs, and Bungles play.

I’ve been on the fence with Tomlin for a few years now, but this has been a solid stretch run. We do need to address the OC position though. Tomlin needs to make a move in the offseason and not just keep Canada because we’ve been winning lately. The passing game is still disjointed with predictable and head scratching route combinations. Part of it may be Pickett still needing to grow, but it’s not a good looking passing game on the All 22 film.

Win a playoff game vs Chiefs, Bengals or Bills in the wildcard round with a rookie QB after going 2-6... and then yeah. Coach of the Year for Tomlin.

Coach of the year is decided after the regular season is over. Has nothing to do with what happens in the playoffs

Win against the Browns to get a win - if that continues MT's streak, so be it, just play to win.

Win a playoff game vs Chiefs, Bungles, or Bills in the wildcard round to win in the playoffs; personal accolades do not matter. If they come, they come. Win for the team, win for the franchise, win for the fan base, win for Franco.

Tomlin has done one of his best jobs this year IMO. You have to give him credit. For some of the years that he underachieved, this run at the end of this year has been a positive. But I still would rather have another coach

There is no questioning the players love him and play hard for him. That is his greatest talent or quality.

Maybe we are going to have to just live with being average and sometimes good but never great again.

Tomlin can motivate players , but his problems with evaluating players and his choices of assistants is weak.

As an example Spillane plays hard as hell, so does Edmunds but playing hard with not enough skill does not lead to great.

If Tomlin could let the front office handle the draft and re stock the roster and hire good assistants and then stand back and make his speeches we might be relevant again .

I just feel we are stuck in the middle of mediocracy.

In what alternate reality is a team that’s in the playoff hunt every single year not relevant? In what alternate reality have the Steelers always been “great”? Cowher led the team to 2 SB appearances and 1 title. So has Tomlin. Noll was 4-0 in the SB but outside of the Steel Curtain dynasty when was the team great under him? It’s like Tomlin haters don’t understand or have the slightest bit of appreciation for just how hard it is to win in the NFL. Over a third of the teams in the league have yet to win their first SB.

Earlier in the year the haters narrative was that he’s supposedly lost the ear of the players, his message has gone stale and they aren’t listening to him anymore. Now that that’s been proven false it’s “yea the players love him and play hard for him but I’d still rather have another coach”. It’s telling that Tomlin seems to get more love and respect from outside his teams fan base than from it.

How about win a Playoff game against anybody:)

Should we get super lucky and make it we'd play 2 seed so it would be one of the big 3. I think if I had to pick one of the three I'd want no part of it's Mahomes in KC. Not so fond of the other two either.

Tomlin didn't take over a 2-6 team as an interim coach, or start out this season with an expansion team. This has been his baby forever and he's been coaching forever. He would have finished 8-8 if the NFL didn't add a game to the season, like he does most seasons. Nothing to see here.
