Strangest 4th ever where I live. Seaside community and a vacation wonderland. We get a lot of Pittsburgh people every year. Normally us locals ***** and moan about the traffic and onslaught of tourist (although we enjoy the $$$$$ they bring) but since they decided against opening indoor dining and drinking, noticeable difference in the amount of people we have down here.

For the 20th year in a row, we'll be watching fireworks from our balcony. Meanwhile, in San Diego, the beach parking lots are closed to try and limit access and the city cancelled the fireworks show on the bay.
On an odd note, I just noticed that the flag I put out every year (handed down from my father) only has 48 stars on it!

I have a 48 star flag handed down to me by my mother. The flag came home from WW2. My uncle did not.

We have a few still happening in eastern Ohio and some across the river in wv still going on. They have altered some for people to just stay in their cars and watch. Of course the neighbors down behind me have been shooting them for 3-4 days now.

He was a bombardier in the Pacific theater. They didn't return from their last mission. Assumed KIA. My oldest brother is named after him.

Very similar. My uncle was a bomber pilot over Germany. They didn’t return from last scheduled mission. KIA. My older brother is named after him as well.

I assume mine is the same. They were cotton and not well made to begin with. They needed a lot of them at the time.

    75+ years old

I don't know it's age, at least 71 years old. It was part of my dad's stuff when he died. It only comes out once a year. It's faded but, no tears anywhere.
